UAAP season 86

  • Thread starter Thread starter Silent Killer2
  • Start date Start date
the last time I've heard CTB is now in the US(?) dealing and meeting some people to lure some blue chippers along the way.

if only those cebuano kids had a chance to bump with coach Jeff Codera to fine tune some core stuff that would be good move moving forward

Coach Tab was watching the CESAFI high school basketball finals game today and had Epok with him, so I guess he’s starting his recruitment tour in Cebu this time.

If they somehow get Bahay to decommit from UP, that would solve Ateneo’s PG woes next season. :D But honestly, I highly doubt Bahay would decommit.

It's ironic that DLSU won after KQ decided to be more of a "ballhog". All his nifty and fancy passes almost disappeared this season.

Huh? He actually decided to be a ballhog only in G3 of the finals. He was actually looking for his teammates more in the elimination rounds, especially round 2.

Somehow, greenacrchers point was right in game 3.. he decided to use more his offensive talents than his passing.something taht cant be scouted by analytics..

where's the manners? everyone knows bahay's supposed to be hands off already as he has committed to up. why even corrupt the minds of these young kids?

*cough* Lebron Lopez *cough*

UP fans said in Francis’ case that “players decommit all the time”, right? :p In Bahay’s case, it’s all rhetorical. But again, UP fans say recruitment is fair game. ;)

Seriously, no one said Tab’s going to make a pitch to Bahay. Relax. “Corrupt the minds” is such a reach. And even if he DOES decommit (again, I doubt it), why would that be considered a corruption of a kid’s mind? :D

Well if the rumours are to be believed some people are pitching offers to our players while they were busy trying to win the crown. They couldn't even wait till the finals are over. Or after we won. Where's the delicadeza in that?

Still in HS grade 12. he can't play due to age limit..

Two teams were playing in the HS finals. Two teams = a maximum of 32 players.

All I know is Tab has other prospects in Cebu — and not necessarily in the teams that were in the finals, too. That’s how recruitment goes. Go nuts believing what you want to believe, I guess. :)

There's been several articles about it. Tab likes "Cebu toughness." Not just one particular player, he likes the whole Cebu player identity. Everyone who plays know how competitive/tough Cebuanos/Bisayas are when it comes to basketball. While his other preference, Filams, are usually skilled and athletic. Imagine melding those identities into one team.

They already recruited Celis and Asoro, so why not continue to develop that relationship/pipeline with Ateneo de Cebu. The academic standard also fits.

Assuming it's all about Bahay shows utter lack of vision.

keep on lying thru your teeth, i wouldn't waste a plane ticket to cebu if its not for bahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, seems like "poaching" has really become the norm these days.

it's just that the "poachers" now push the "de-commit" and "transfer" narratives

I never thought that i will e liking more teh attitude of the 0-14 up guys (Mikee, Jett manuel to Martin reyes's)

I checked out before this season, just became more of a neutral observer and just looking at how the players develop, but that was just because of the backers. But the catcalling incident, if proven true, man, that will really kick down my opinion of the team, if it hasn't lowered yet. UP grad nga rin ako, e.

Just waiting for football season. Hope we do well in that sport after not making the final round last season (for men and women).

Another case would be Kean Baclaan he already was playing for UST in the pre season tournaments then all of a sudden transferred to NU just like that. Gani Stevens and Gjerard Wilson were also similar cases, both played for UST in the pre season and then jumped ship to UE.
