That ben mbala debacle really sucked but that malick diouf ligang labas issue also benefited UE since momowei played in the same tourney.

The college basketball season has been bizarre. UST wins the womens, La Salle wins the men's and Mapua is at the cusp of winning the gold.

Dlsu too right since nonoy was also a rookie with ust in season 82. He isnt overage for next year anyways.

Tbh i don't really mind the rule change, its just the timing that's fishy. Changes like this should be made at a certain point in the beginning of the new calendar season, made known to the public. Not sudden and in secret.

Even if beda comes back, none of them were pre-season favorites to win it all too. I mean UP obviously is the number 1 team heading to the season, for ncaa its csb while for the women's it was NU right?
 
UP was the deepest team yet they cannpt develop closer players.. cortez is physically weak and not uaap ready but was Beda's offensive player..UP needs to develop one if they cannot get a premier big, lopez role is to support that guy

saw a comment in twitter and mikee's community that JD enrolled to a non-uaap school before transferring to UP. thats the loophole I guess.

If it's your time, it's your time. It's crazy how KQ only had 1 turnover the entire game even with the defense thrown against him. That 1 turnover almost cost them a championship he's lucky they got away with a win. Haha

That's my guess. Tho bo perasol became involved with them in 2021, a year after his transfer. Jusko pa showbiz pa, why don't they name the school then haha

That loophole just undermined uaap transfer rules, why are they allowing that to happen. We don't know if UP and Cagulangan acted in bad faith when he supposedly enrolled a semester in that unnamed university, knowing he will play for them in the future. If thats allowed then dlsu shouldve had nonoy enrolled in csb for a sem too haha

Escandor actually has a playing year left but he is already a graduating student and has been in college for 6 years already I think.

Mike definitely not leaving. He’s determined to get his degree and is just in his third year of studies.

Udodo from Guang Ming, not as tall as Diouf. It’s Agunanne (DLSU’s incoming FSA) who is the same height as Diouf.

Mike Phillips is a true junior in college. He has repeatedly said that he will finish his studies in DLSU so definitely he will be there next year.
 
honestly, i don't know what to make of up's run in the last 5 seasons, true 4 finals appearances on paper seem impressive but with only 1 title to show for doesn't that seem underwhelming?

especially if you take into account that they were the favorites for season 85 and this season, ok maybe if lucero didn't go down last year then they probably would've swept ateneo but still .... remember during the season when they won it all, they needed a lucky 3 from cansino to send the game to ot and then another 3 from cagulangan to break a tied game for the win.

They were peg to fight for a title and they did. What would be underwhelming is if they didnt get into a final 4.
disappointing, sure. But not underwhelming. Its not like they got blown out last 2 games.

Shows that you need offensive adjustments. Man, can't just ride the defense all season.

Young coach pa naman si Goldwin, but he has to expand his playbook.
