UAAP season 86

UE making the most of a thin roster.
Fikes, Wilson gone and they still making it tough. Remogat might be the best PG prospect we have locally

i dont think anyone expected remogat's game to mature so quickly. during his rookie year, he was a guard who always looked for his shots. he was a loose cannon who often got the ire of his coaches. even during the last games of the regular season last season, it was only his scoring that popped off. but this offseason, he really controlled his shot selection and started to display his great court vision.

How tall is Remogat?

How was Remogat able to fly under the radar?

IIRC, Remogat was the back up to Penny Estacio at FEU HS. In another similar scenario years back at San Sebastian HS when Paul Lee was a back up or played second fiddle to Eric Salamat. Lee was never heavily recruited and tried out at UE where he was offered only a Team B spot.

Nic Cabanero was a bench guy at San Beda HS. The starring guard there was Winston Ynot.

These kids were never heavily recruited because they were back ups and role players in HS.

he was a FEU baby tam. nephew of RR garcia. his teammates during their time Anonuevo, Sleat, Estacio, Padrones, Abarrientos, Bautista and even Pasaol (his rookie year). spending more time in the bench than playing. Knowing FEU they have a tons of guards no room for him. But i know they offered him to stay in team B and good decision for him to try to the other schools as walk in. Good pick up by UE. He's 5'9" guard

"you can only see the pain in Jerom's eyes as he is unable to play for his team" yeah dude, im sure he's worried about his middling UAAP team more than his career

What happened to fikes? What injury?

three final four spots already occupied. hoping ateneo gets the last one so no clear favorites coming in the semifinals.

no offense to their players but adamson does not deserve any success with what they did to their player this season

Off-topic: 6 UAAP schools are among the top 16 higher education institutions in the Philippines according to the latest QS rankings.

1. UP
2. Ateneo
3. De La Salle
4. UST
5. Adamson
11. FEU

Too early, im not buying that hype let's wait the pre season tournaments. not all fil-foreigners can adjust easily the pinoy brand style.

UP lineup for pinoyliga next man cup. Looks like Coronel should be ready to play and another fsa is linedup in Francis Nnoruka.

crucial game for Ateneo and araneta only has people in the lower box, i guess folks dont really want to watch basketball live anymore

The DLSU-UP game was full of DLSU alumni and oldies. Barely any real students.

Well, many, even the students and alumni of UAAP schools are fairweather fans. They are in full-support if their team makes into the final 4 or finals. I remember the crowd of UP was not there during the 2000's (except '04 and '05) and for the most parts of 2010's. Iskos and Iskas started to watch the games since 2017, where they almost made into final 4, then in 2018, when they made into the finals.
