Does anyone have any update about demir doğan? Did he quit playing basketball or what

Okay so omer comfirmed he's 6'3, also.based of this picture you can tell he grew a lot in one year...he probably will reach around 6'7

Not that photo, this photo https://x.com/canpekerpekcan/status/1799053940174336272 is important because of the much more objective angle.

We should not discuss over and over the same, very clear things. Omer Kutluay said he is 191(6,3), that means 188 without shoes because shoe is 3 cm. And all that means his height is not good, comparable players like Furkan Korkmaz, Hugo Gonzalez or even Onuralp Bitim were clearly bigger as Omer with 15. But he has still time and its very realistic that he will add several inches because he is even for 15 too childish, his father and mother are big etc. In Omers case we could see in 4-5 months a 2-3 inches bigger Omer, that would be not a big surprise but that must come at some point.

Best comparable player to Omer at this stage is Bogdan Bogdanovic, he is 196-7 without shoes(not 185, not 205, not 210, real 196-7). With shoes close to 200(6,7).

I mean this picture was 2 months prior to the u16 tournament so why not... 15 year olds can grow a lot even in a matter of 2 months

I have been trying to follow the pre-season games as much as possible, and the player who has pleasantly surprised me the most so far is David Mutaf. It finally seems like he added the touch to his game that we expect. He's holding the ball for shorter periods, selecting the right shots, playing more patiently on offense, but most importantly, he has become a sharper ball-handler. He now confidently controls the ball even against strong, physical guards, showing excellent poise and bringing the ball up the half-court like a true PG, which was a notable weakness in his game before.

What's particularly caught my attention is his ability to handle the ball with ease and confidence, even in situations where he faces pressure. Defensively strong guards no longer seem to faze him, which is a big improvement. He's also no longer just relying on shots from beyond the arc; he's taking mid-range jumpers from the high post and low post, which is a critical asset in modern basketball. A big plus.

One of my main criticisms of Mutaf was his tendency to quickly fall into an ineffective scoring mentality, but these adjustments in his approach are making him a much more valuable player. He’s starting to take on a floor general role in the team that could elevate him to one of the standout players this season.

Good start of David Mutaf. His ball control is indeed much better now. The problem of his team is the poor decision making of Michineau and this team is full of such guys like Brown and Michineau and they are too ball dominant. Sarper David Mutaf has a Sloukas in him but he wont get the chance to initiate pick and roll action. Nevertheless 29 Minutes with 12 points is ok for his first game of the season.

If Telekom does not give Tunca regular minutes, then he also can sit on the bench with Efes. If you think he is not enough then just do not rent him.

Also the new system is not good for young guys. In the previous system, 5 Turkish guys take some minutes. In this one, you should be one of the best 2 Turkish players.

What a peformance by melih tunca....also props to erdem can for giving him the ball in crunch time... if he keeps this up I see him starting at eurobasket

Amazing pick and roll initiating potential. This is what our NT needs the most.

We have to surround him and sengun with solid defenders and we have an amazing team... especially if omer kutluay also reaches his potential this team has no limits with amazing role players like buyuktuncel konan bona next to them...

We need two things: shooters and defenders. Ideally Bona playing five will boost our defense to the next level, at least for 15 - 20 minutes. Buyuktuncel is important but we also have Osman who is also a solid defender himself. We actually have everything despite a play maker.

We should find a way of playing sengun at the 5 he has no chance at defending the perimeter we saw it against saric. Also buyuktuncel needs to come to europe asap these are just lost years for him and our NT

It does not matter if you have Bona. Yurtseven - Sengun does not work. We can play Sengun five on the offensive end but Bona needs to protect the rim. If Bona develops a shot, things can change. Sengun might have slow legs but similar to Jokic he has swift hands for deflections. Anyways it was a big step for Tunca. He somehow reminds me of Oded Kattash

FIBA windows will be a good test for Tunca in the national team. I hope he develops day by day until the windows games.

Man I am so excited we really deserve a competent guard after 20 years of horror :D
