Turkish Prospects

Its now time to write something about Hidayet Turkoglu. This bum is after tayyip erdogan the worst performer in the country. This generation missed completely their U14 season, missed more than 1,5 years because of this corrupt hedo. They even didnt play 1 single game in that period. In europe the U leagues were played in the corona period, they missed just few months.

We can see immense development in other countries at the youth level, its all about giving the opportunity to the right men. Really just this and turkish youth bb would explode. How fast other countries changed their face is unbelievable, this is for Turkiye very easy but not possible with this corrupt bums.

I dont have a big problem with the performances of Derin Can and Kaan(injured). A team like that has a big affect for these performances. In the end of the day Derin Can will play in first division and then every turk will say he is our future PG etc. always the same......And Cengiz Sarp Coskun is a very solid prospect too. He has everything for senior level. He had very good U16 stats, then i watched a game against Derin Can, Cengiz was very bad in that game therefore i havent seen the other games of him. He can also handle the ball and create for others, very very important. + raw + very young face.

Why i cant post a photo from Cengiz from 2020 ;)

TuBiTAK Ortaokul ogrencileri Arastırma Projeleri Yarismasinda Izmir Bolge Sergisine katilmaya hak kazanan 8. sinif ogrencimiz Cengiz Sarp Coskun, Matematik alaninda hazirladigi Es Teget cemberler isimli projenin sunumunu juri uyelerine gerceklestirdi.

Omer kutluay signed with real Madrid, amazing move possibly the best destination in Europe for young talent. Ugur ozan sulak also said there is another Turkish player who signed with real Madrid who could it be???

Oh I think he was talking about Arda guler

Omer Kutluay is like between 180-185 cm. Is it good for a 14 years old?

No its not good. Onuralp, Furkan, Hugo Gonzalez etc. were all bigger as Omer at the same age. Omer is without shoes most likely so 185. This is the only concern about him, but he has still enough time. We must hope next summer to see a Omer over 190 and then the years after that close to 200 will make him superstar prospect.

Ustun plays more mature today. I like him. If we have a big to get rebounds, he is ready for an upset.

Almost all of our youngster failed abroad but europe is much better as usa or Fener. And its Derin Can Ustun, most of our players doesnt have the mentality to fight for success but Derin Can has this. And he will be the first turkish player which will have the ball in his hands. The team will not take the ball away from him and force him to adopt a new style like we saw it with other turks. For his defense this move will be most likely good, he is a player who could have a bit slow legs in defense if he would stay in Turkiye, almost all turkish players have slow legs in defense. He is also a great defender if he wants, at U16 we saw it, really really good and high IQ. With this move, turkish teams lost top2(Omer Kutluay & Derin Can Ustun) prospects.

According to news, TBF naturalized two Kosovan 07 generation kids. One is 2,18 center and other 1,92 guard. I do not know anything about them but it is reported that both have potential. Especially, 2,18 center may help our u17 team in the next year world cup.

Both of these players have already been Besiktas players for a year. Due to licensing and citizenship procedures, they didn't play official games last year. Edin Bacevac plays as a guard and is Bosnian, while Rrezon Elezaj, who plays as a C, is Albanian. Bacevac especially is genuinely talented. Despite being one year younger, he can play at the same level as Yagiz Aksu. A small indicator of his skill level. Of course since neither of them has played an official game everything being discussed at the moment remains uncertain. Bacevac is said to be a relative of a former Fenerbahce basketball player, but I don't know who that relative is. They managed to convince him to play for Turkey at the last minute, just as he was about to go to Germany, it is said.

Mert Akay, who is in the Cedevita Olimpija roster, will not be able to play next season because his ACL is torn, i'm told.

Since this year the roles in our teams were better. The leaders got more minutes and more opportunities. But 1 player had to fight for minutes and his name is Melih Tunca. Melih was always an underdog for his coaches, he earned his minutes with his strong performances and had to leave the court after 1 mistake, same for Efes and NT. Its crazy because he is almost always the best player for his team, turkish coaches........
Im pretty sure if we would ask 16 coaches of the U18 european championship, more coaches would choose Melih over MVP Topic for who is more interesting for the future.

but we now need a player who can demonstrate this ability at the highest level while also creating his own score. Tunca might be a candidate, but his potential is not high enough to become a PG who can completely change the face of the national team.

If Melih would play like a man i think he has the potential to change the face of NT. Derin Can Ustun had a great game against Lithuania, without Kaan Onat he would have good chances for a win. In that game Derin Can Ustun showed exactly what we want to see from a turkish G, exactly that would change the face of NT.

Both Larkin as foreign player and Ozdemiroglu as injury, there is realistic opportunity for Tunca. Hope he is ready and Can gives him minutes.

I have tried to watch some preparation games and Yigitoglu still looks lost in this level. Zero positive sign on both sides. Another bad new that the coach uses Konan as a back up center. Cengiz is still playing with very bad productivity.

I quite disagree with what's being said about Yigitoglu. I believe he has provided exactly the expected contribution as a back-up center player. He has played six preparation games so far, averaging 7 points, which is a very positive result, especially for a player who wasn't considered a significant offensive threat, with the effect of the tendency for foreign players to prove themselves by using more shots than they will used to do during incoming season. Physically, he seems ready to compete at high-level basketball, and I believe he will receive similar playing time in official games as he did in preparation games. Besiktas has a promising team this season and in this team that will gradually grow throughout the season, I expect Yigitoglu to solidify his place more and evolve into a more effective and impactful player within the team. His performance against few Euroleague-level big-men in preseason games convinced me that he can do more. For a player still in the active learning phase, averaging 15 minutes of playing time in Besiktas this season would be a fantastic development for his career ladder.
