man im so pumped up for Eurobasket 2011!!! its gonna be awesome! hope for Lit vs Serb final!:D

Lithuania is one of the main reasons why I see in basketball something I am unable to find anywhere else. The true beauty of their art relies also in that you guys are such a small country. Obviously like ancient Greeks used to say, quality is not necessarily a synonym of quantity but still, it is remarkable. I really have no words to express my admiration.

The good part is that players like Kalnietis, Jankunas, Maciulis and Pocius seem to have reached another level and I can't wait to see them again in the Euroleague. Special mention to Jasaitis who is almost as underrated as Stombergas and of course the great Linas Kleiza (what a shame that he had his worst game yesterday - nothing can stop him when he is focused and has the minimum of luck every success requires).

Hats off to the Serbs who fought after a huge disappointment. Teodosic and Krstic are real leaders and the rest have tremendous potential. Reaching the WC semifinals is not a small thing anyway. Bravo.

Right now it's interesting what contracts some of our players could make - Jasaitis, Delininkaitis, Seibutis are free agents. :)

I think our players developed in this tournament, and they could be a great players someday. :) Even Andriuškevičius can be better and Alicante might be happy to have such a player.
 
One thing I would like to say is that I have mad respect for the Serbian team. The way they finished the championship in the last 2 games was heartbreaking. They deserved so much more.

Still can't believe it's the same team which played so bad against US.

Also Pocius impressed me a lot.

What did you expect after losing such a tough semi final. Most of our players believed we got robbed and they could care less for bronze medal. Serbia has had gold and silver and even bronze in past at this tournament so a bronze wouldn't have meant anything to these guys you can tell Lithuania wanted it more and they received it well done. I hope for Lithuania Serbia final at Euromarket 2011

Have you seen Brasil-USA game?

I'm not saying Lithuanians haven't fought, they did and that matters. Still they just couldn't score when they usually had no problems scoring and let Durant run the show almost completely free.

Sure, we maybe had a bad game. But the game against Brasil was a group stage game. USA seemed to up their game (especially D) in the later knockouts.

No faith in their selection of players, but once again Lithuania with a medal. It's becoming somewhat of a tradition ;) Congrats.

You're wrong about Lavrinovic brothers. They great offensive players, but they always were the hole in lithuanian defense. One of the main reasons for great lithuanian defense at this tournament, were the fact that the twins didn't come!

Ofcourse Petravicius could be helpfull by giving some rest to Javtokas. There is no team in Europe which would refuse to have Siska, but even he couldn't do something against Durant. You need Superman or Spiderman to stop Durant... :rolleyes:

And yes, Lavrinovich brothers are threat in the offence, but they are too soft...

actually i don't get it...why there is such a rush?
i remember we played a fantastic game against a superb u.s.a team and we were physically and mentally exhausted...this is normal...plus spain had one day more rest at the quarter finals ...and obviously the final was horrible...almost the same happened tonight
