Are you talking about the last game?!? How were the referees supporting Lithuania? I couldn't see that. As a matter of fact in this game referees were one of the most fair in all the games Serbia played in this tournament(if we don't count group phase then - the most fair)

Agree. This time refs were fair, but there was some mistaks. However, that's a normal thing.

There is no team in Europe which would refuse to have Siska, but even he couldn't do something against Durant. You need Superman or Spiderman to stop Durant...

You are wrong - we don't need him to do something against Durant, we need him to make shots, forse fouls against him, defend on a perimeter, give more deep to our guards and so on, so on. Basketball is not 1 on 1 game.

Damn. I still haven't watch the game between these two teams. I'm hoping for a replay.

Yey! Lietuva won ...Bronze is A Okay for me. Hope Lietuva will improve more next FIBA or this coming Olympics..:) Woot!

"Jankunas, Pocius and Kalnietis will probably have a great season."

Well I think they will sit on their asses and watch how Watson, Brown and Collins shooting "amazing super shots" :D That's what happen with zalgiris all the time - retarded management ambitions and desire to prove that money are well spent is more important than team victory, fans or players potential. In other words they are always trying to achieve short term gain, but always fails.

Unfortunately, there is a big chance that Jankunas, Pocius and Kalnietis will be sitting and watching how well-paid players try to have some fun from playing basketball for "Zalgiris".

Very good feeling to see a Philippine user supporting Lithuania, Thank you.

Well Žalgiris have two more point guards:
DeJuan Collins
and Aleksandar Capin.

Capin`s salary is very big. And Zalgiris owner Romanovas want to make money from basketball. So everybody think that he will not fire that player, because of huge compensation. So possible that he will try to increase that player value and let him play a lot. He don`t let for couch decide who must play - he is boss and he told for the couch what to do in a game... It is how we lost last season Lithuania league...

Sorry for my English :)

Its a matter of discussion still... However Collins is showing a surprisingly great form, if Kalnietis will be slipping to his old ways then Collins will eat some of his time and Romanov still has two years with Chapin so he will probably want to raise his value this season and then sell him off somewhere. And unless its a good player the only thing that helps to raise value is playing time. Considering that Callins form is really good it could be taken from Kalnietis unless he comes and proves that his form is even better than Collins.

It's very obvious - if it's uptempo game, Kalnietis can be very effective and starting 5 player. If the half court offense, Collins should be more effective. Maybe, Žalgiris' coach will have an advantage from that. Kalnietis and Pocius when you can effectively run, Collins and Brown when you need different things.

Lol. Garastas (basketball fedarations' president) today in one interview said "1 850 000 lt with which we bought championship" :D Some other people could understand just like that, but he was talking about wild card :D

Ivkovic said for Serbian medias following...They arrived in 3:00 in hotel after yesterday game(vs Turkey). They(Serbian coaching stuff) were called in 9:30(by the FIBA organization team) in the morning that they can't have training session in 10:45, but must have it in the morning. I don't want to diminish Lithuanian victory, as they completely deserved it with the attitude and approach to the game, but our guys were simply unprepared and exhausted :(
...and someone said the organization was good for this World Cup

There was also quite a lot of other things he said but those are all about game vs Turkey and FIBA organization, so irrelevant for this game.

ps. It's really a shame when you invest most of your "free time" in training(our guys were 2.5 months at preparation period) and some fool scr*w you like it happened

pathetic,poor comment.
I don't want to diminish Lithuanian victory-u are doing in a foxy way.litss had the same disadvantages.
