The season has been a disaster for the Washington Wizards. Heading into the regular season, the Wizards were banking on rising stars John Wall and Javale McGee alongside Andray Blatche. So far, the Wizards are still looking for an identity as they seem to be able not to win on the road and having trouble closing out games.

Plus, the ticket prices are falling.

The Washington Wizards getting their fifth win for the season against the Toronto Raptors 111-108. The back-court of Wall and Young were a force. John Wall scored 31 points while Nick Young scored 29 points.
 
Veteran forward Rashard Lewis have reached a milestone: 15,000 career points total, 5,000 rebounds and 1,500 three point shots made so far on his career. Lewis joins Boston Celtics all-star Paul Pierce and Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Kidd as the only players in NBA history to accumulate those numbers.

Lewis now has 15,006 career points, 5,183 rebounds and 1,690 three-pointers.

Next up in line is Kobe who should also accomplish this feat by the end of this season.
 
The Washington Wizards winning again by taking advantage of a Portland Trailblazers squad without Lamarcus Aldridge. The Wizards won 124-109. Nick Young scored a team high 35 points. John Wall scored 29 points alongside 9 assists. Jordan Crawford off the bench with 21 points. Javale McGee with a double double of 18 points and 11 rebounds.
 
Vesely with a disappointing 2 fouls against Detroit but cam back strong by fouling out against Portland tonight.
 
The Washington Wizards are said to be exploring trade options for forward Andray Blatche.
 
The Washington Wizards upsetting the Los Angeles Lakers 106-101. Trevor Booker had a career night of 18 points and 17 rebounds. Nick Young scored 19 points off the bench. While JaVale McGee added a double double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.
 
The Washington Wizards, Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers have completed a three-team trade. The Wizards will acquire Nene Hilario, the Nuggets will acquire JaVale McGee and the Clippers will acquire Nick Young.
 
It will be interesting on how Nene Hilario will change the culture of the team. Washington gave up the bonehead Javale McGee who was athletic and is a good shot blocker for a savvy low-post operator in the old school play of Nene.

I am also intrigued on how Jordan Crawford will develop. At this point, Crawford is a one on one scorer in the mold.

Also, I expect the Wizards to lure back Andray Blatche into the starting unit.
 
The Washington Wizards upsetting the Philadelphia 76ers, 97-76. This is only the twelfth win of the Wizards.

10 years ago. Watched a couple of Wizards games that was showing on TV because of Michael Jordan and his DC crew. Jordan would have played one more season after the 2001-2002 season.
 
Wizards likely keeping Ernie Grunfeld

Ernie Grunfeld will return as president of the Washington Wizards, according to two league officials who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Grunfeld and owner Ted Leonsis have tentatively agreed to a deal that is believed to be for more than one year, a deal that would keep the team’s architect in Washington contractually until at least the end of the 2013-2014 season. Financial terms were not known, but Grunfeld’s present deal was set to expire at the end of this season. He has been the Wizards’ chief decision-maker since the late Abe Pollin hired him to take over the franchise in 2003.

The team is expected to make an announcement as early as Tuesday, the officials said. A Wizards official declined comment before Monday night’s game against the Bobcats at Verizon Center.

The Washington Wizards are linked to former NBA point guard Sam Cassell as the head coach candidate for next season. Cassell helped the Houston Rockets win two championships in the 90's and won an NBA championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008.
