Defending champions Boston Celtics
Alex Caruso to OKC in exchange for Josh Giddey
Just Josh Giddey? No picks?
Redick and Lebron co-host a podcast called “Mind the Game”. That’s probably where the connection started.
Lebron’s chances of winning another chip is small. Redick is young and it’s his first coaching gig.
Lakers are thinking long-term because of Redick’s inexperience. It would be different had the Lakers took in the recently fired but experienced Monty Williams from the Pistons who was Anthony Davis’s coach at New Orleans for three seasons.
There it is, no picks: https://x.com/AndrewKSchlecht/status/1803908262279971030?t=29IoxFbPmb2LugXFPdDZDQ&s=19
Trading one of the best defenders in the NBA for just a guy who can't shoot or defend (not to mention his previous issue with a minor) is bad business.
Guy was unplayable last playoffs, and this was just a 1-for-1 swap without any picks? Unbelievable.

you will love giddey but then again his shooting woes is the concern.. though i keep saying he improved on that part but not we had hope for so far..
i guess i need to buy bulls jersey for giddey.
It's interesting how Giddey is unplayable because of poor shooting (47% FG, 33%3PT, 80%FT last season). Those numbers locally would be a good shooter. For context, Alapag for his career: 37%, 36%, 80%).
Any thoughts on why bad shooting is not taken advantage of more locally?
JJ Reddick is officially the LA Lakers coach. I wonder what the the active LakerNation members of IBN think about this. I reeks of Rich Paul - Lebron type of an hire.
He shot 35% last playoffs. He just shot 3-16 against the Mavs, and that coupled with his poor defense rendered him unplayable that series, got only 16.1 MPG.
Apologies for slandering him for his shooting, then.
There are rumors that the Lakers are trying to trade for a top 5 pick.
They are currently slated to pick at the 17th. There is a prospect that they workout, Ron Holland, that is not within the range of their current draft slot.
They should try to get him instead of emptying their cupboard of assets trying to get a hail mary trade on the likes of Dejounte, Trae, or Donovan Mitchell etc.
Getting Holland is more realistic and longterm move approach since AD will be needing a young coStar for the future. Guy can be their prototypical wing ala Jalen Brown if developed properly.
Hey, welcome back!
Hope the Bulls will be the ones to get Holland, though.
