Massive congrats to all the PAO fans! The previous few seasons were particularly rough and this turnaround was remarkable.
Ataman is incredible. He talks a big game but he backs it up!

A huge credit to Sloukas as well. Moving to PAO was a huge decision after all his years in Oly but he is totally vindicated by this win, the crowning accomplishment of his career. He was virtually flawless in this final. One of the great Greek guards in the modern Euroleague.

How can I ever trust my own mind and doubt Ataman ever again? The man is a fucking wizard :p

Unfortunately Toruko is correct about Greek guards  (but whatever, that for a different time)

Congrats to fans of Panathinaikos. I m glad they returned on the top. I m especially happy for Mathias Lessort, he is really good person.
Sloukas won Euroleague with third club, Nunn was the best player in Euroleague in first season- Mitoglou and Pappapetrou have done a lot of job.
By the way, it's really good to see Real Madrid losing in season in which they were the best team.

Absolutely. It has so much impact.

I could not believe how fragile their confidence was. Maybe that's why Mateo had to keep the grandpas for so long. I don't know but they were like a different team once they realized that Pao is not going away.

Its the curse of winning the rs. Believe me! Nobody should end up being first.

Toruko, I think it's finally time for you to write that essay on how the foundations of Ataman's philosophy took shape during Galatasaray's 2014-15 season.

Yeah, makes sense, good point. The grandpas do have the mentality, but no legs any more.

If you promise to do the proofreading

He can write that, but Ataman's philosophy came to light when he went to Ulker management and asked them to give him the HC job at 30 years old. They laughed at him and told him to buzz off, and then he went to Turk Telekom and asked them the same. Then he made it to the TBL finals by beating ulker :)

I really dont believe how PAO sold good for nothing Papagiannis to FB and not to forget good for nothing Dorsey. FB didnt sell Dorsey just not to strengthen to opponent instead it weakened itself. :D

Lol there is so much lore I don't know about. I thoroughly enjoy these nuggets you throw around randomly.

I bashed him all the time as bad coach but this tonight was masterpiece. It wasn't luck, isos, missed open shoots and other shits, like final in Belgrade, he outcoached Mateo like a boy on the school playground. Ataman is 2nd best coach in this moment, but regarding he is the best roster maker, overall he is No1 in this moment

As I wrote before, One-game finals are open to any surprise but this game is more than that.

Pana’s mentality and self-confidence made huge difference. Players such as Hezonja and Musa don’t have that mentality yet and the legs of Grandpa's like Spanish trio don’t let them move.

Congratulations to Pao.

Panathinaikos was the best team in Europe in the latter part of the season imp. They deserved to be champions. As for Real, it's just hard to win two titles in a row in a Final Four system. Congrats to PAO for the seventh title! Congrats to Ataman for the third title. I believe he is in his prime as a coach. Pao has everything in place to start a new legacy.

Sloukas made a great choice last season. He fits better in Ataman' s system than Bartzogas' system. The latter part of the season he played as a EL legend like Diamantidis or Spanoulis. All because of his decision to move to PAO.

The Euroleague is the most underrated sports product on the planet.

I hope Kendrick Nunn realises where he is. Everything may look simple, because he won the EL in one season. But he will probably never find this kind of opportunity in his carreer. Simply said, he is like a surfer who found the perfect wave in his first dive. He may think he can do it again whenever he wants, but it's not that easy.

Thanks for the congratulations my dear forum peers.

Ataman is a mastermind. He has give us winners mentality banging on from Day 1 that the goal of the team in the F4 and to win it!!!!

To win we needed all 3 of our nuclear weapons in Sloukas, Nunn and Lessort to play a big game and they delivered. Mitoglou for Lessort on Tavarez in the last 5-6 mins was another masterful stroke. Steal by Mitoglou on Tavarez, then wins foul on the rebound and buries 2 three pointers when Tavarez didn't follow. Once this happened, the paint opened up like Moses did the Read Sea for Nunn to slash and make 3/3.

Sloukas. Big brave balls. What a leader!!!

Massive Kudos to PAO fans that made the court look and sound like the OAKA chanting even when we were down by 14. Once the tide turned, they gave wings to our players.

Let's just remember the 2st official game in the Greek Super Cup we were losing 32-4 to Oly. We came a long way from that.

This is a terrific analogy! I hope that the ones that have gone through the motions before winning will "transfer" this knowledge to him.

Indeed, those shots Sloukas took in the 4th quarter required balls of steel, let alone make them. Outstanding display.

I guess DPG deserves some credit too for trusting the right people in critical positions.

Congratulations, again.

Thanks man. When we lost to Oly by 25-30 points alot of PAO fans were crying saying we did nothing and there will be more pain this year. I told them "patience and to trust the process that Ataman has set up. He's a man with a plan. He took Efes from being the EL punching bag to 3 finals winning 2. This year or next it will bear fruit." It happened this year. He kicks his player's arse but they know he is fair and they trust him because he also gives them honey when they do their job.
