Serbian fans needs to learn some lowliness. You could have won, but your ass was kicked against two worst teams who played better and had more guts.

And about Greece, your roster was made by Antetokounmpo and very bad shooters, everybody saw the problem except your coach.

Do not belittle the Argentinian NT. They fought hard, they eliminate such a huge teams. You know what?. A lot of teams underrated us and argentina and this was a great mistake. And it is a disrespect for any team.
 
Firs of all,I crtisized my national team ,who isn`t lazy can check that .About this I m loser,I don`t know what metter is Serbia win in quarter-final with me ,except I m Serbian ? About Yugoslavia,90s after breakup ,on Eurobasket 1997,1999,2001,Mundobasket 1998,2002 ,where we won gold medal,most of players were Serbian,Djordjevic,Divac,Bodiroga,Danilovic,Stojakovic,Obradovic,Jaric,except Scepanovic and Paspalj who are Montenegrins .So ,you are wrong informed ,or you are cheeky like players who reppresent your team .

Ofcourse we can disagree. In my opinion Argentina won easily all the mid level teams (Poland, Russia, Nigeria). Then they beat Serbia and France (first level teams). They had no pressure in these games. On paper these teams had better rosters but as it seemed no better teams.

In the final they couldn't beat third team in a row. It was the first game that they faced pressure and they simply failed to delivere.

Ok then. Spain confronting Argentina was the most interesting match up you could have. Satisfied now?
 
People always jealous and discredit the dominating teams and sportsmen.

I remember boxing fans were saying ''Klitschko brothers kill boxing'', ''heavyweight division died'', ''they dominate becuz they're cheating'' and blah blah. It's normal. Fans want to see competitiveness. When somebody is perfect and dominates, people dislike that. That's why boxing fans hated Klitschko, bball fans still hates Spain.

I sided Argentina since I always like underdogs as any person reacts. But we should give the credit to Spain and accepting some things: Spain is the most succesfull bball country of 21st century just behind USA. Marc Gasol is better than Jokic and Gobert. Prime Pau was matchless and Spanish guards are always elite players.

Beside these facts, I don't like Rudy too :)
 
No, it not was the most interesting game. But Argentina was in the final by eliminating such a hard teams. That's all. It is easy, who reach the final are simply the best. It is a game of result.

Anything can happen at one game and that's the factor of luck. Campazzo scored like crazy the day before and he was mediocre at best today. I mean, you can not judge a team's value out of just one game. Serbia is at every aspect a better team than Argentina, no matter a couple of random wins or losses.
 
Argentina Gold Medal in 2004 is just because the US defeat Spain in the QF. Argentina match up better than Spain against that US team.
Maybe France have a chance today, but they didn't have it against Argentina.

It just a match up issue.
 
I think Serbia did a great tournament, losing only against the finals teams.

And if Argentina vs Spain game was in the QF, we would have reach 5° place, with the same record 7-1.

None (I think) denies Spain's greatness. And they deserved the title 100%.
Nevertheless, this final was disappointing for the fans-except the Spaniards probably :D
 
I want to give a standing ovation to Argentina. They played with a lot of heart, and even when they found themselves down 20 points they never stopped fighting. They spared no effort, gave 100% and made the game interesting in spite of coming from behind since the beginning. I was expecting a late run until the final minutes, but Spain's defence is just something else. Neither France nor Serbia could stop Scola and he was almost a non-factor today. We controlled the boards and the tempo of the game. Coach Hernández threw everything they could come up with at us, small lineups, big lineups, two or even three ballhandlers, full court pressure, zone defences... nothing worked for more than a few minutes. Credit should go to coach Scariolo, his assistants, and unsung heroes like Claver and Oriola who always had the toughest defensive assignments.

I'm not totally agree, let me say it clear, Spain defence is great, but more in the zone, not so much in the 3pt line. Spain defence collapse a lot in the zone, doing an excellent job, a lot of help came from everywhere. In this area is a elite defence. And the guards are quick as hell (like Argentina). But when you move the ball, an go in and out the zone, you can take a clean 3pt shoot, from time to time. Argentina shoots wide open 3s, but the ball not fall in.

Argentina came to the final running the floor and shooting 3pt.
Today shoots bad. Even if Argentina shoots better, Spain probably stiil win.
