The costs of Your city's public transport?

2.00 US just to ride subway (last year at this time: 75 cents)
1.50 US just to ride bus (last year at this time: 50 cents)

This are prices for the Buenos Aires urban area.

Bus: from $0,75 to $1,35 (U$S 0,25 to U$S 0,40 approx.), according to the length of the trip

Subway: $0,70 (U$S 0,23 approx.)

Urban trains: from $0,50 to 1,20 (U$S 0,17 to U$S 0,40 approx.), according to the length of the trip.

We have nothing in the way of subways in Metro Manila; the closest we have is the MRT/LRT system which, sadly, covers only half of the metropolis.

Fares range from PhP 10 to PhP 14 (US$ 0.22 - US$ 0.31) from North Avenue in Quezon City to Taft Avenue in Pasay City, which are less than 20 km apart. It is the cheapest and fastest form of transportation available.

If you take a bus, expect to shell out around PhP 60 (US$ 1.33) for a ride from Fairview (at the northern fringe of Quezon City) to Alabang (the southernmost point of the metropolis). However, this is for non-airconditioned buses.

Where in the US are you?

In san francisco, it costs $1.50 for a single ride on the MUNI, bus or cable car, with free transfer within 2 hours.

0.50E for Bus (0.25 Students)
0.80 for Subway (0.40 for Students)
1E for all transport means for 90 minutes (0.50E Students)

It's not cheap, but not expensive either, i paid 1.4E for a single bus ride when i was abroad this summer.

Where?

My weekly cost is about £15 - though if I worked in the centre of London it would be more like £30.
