The Cleveland Cavaliers are done without Lebron

I wonder if there are any truth to the rumors that the Cleveland Cavaliers have placed Maurice Williams and Antawn Jamison on the trading block as sportswriters reasoned out that the Cavaliers "will opt for the youth movement" Still, having veterans like Jamison and Maurice Williams will help win games for the young guys around, whereas losing games hardly instill any fundamental qualities about winning or maturity for the youth.

On a contract perspective, the contracts of Williams and Jamison look like CAP burdens due to they are veteran players and is due for a big payday and Cavs owner Dan Gilbert fears that there will be a significant drop on the attendance meaning Cavs could lose money without their cash cow, LeBron James so better save now on cap space by dealing Jamison and Williams.

Stay Classy Ohio.

We don't give a damn for the whole state of Ohio, because we're from Florida! Lol. :D

I haven't heard those rumors yet, but I'm not surprised. As a fan, I do not want to go through another youth movement or another rebuilding phase. "Let's give the ball to DaJuan Wagner and watch him dribble." "Let's let Ricky Davis call the offense." "Darius Miles will be a stud." I'm sick of that stuff. I don't want it.

Jamison and Williams are great players. They'll take us to the play-offs this year. Just because LeBron left does not mean our team is suddenly horrible. We can still put a respectable, tough squad on the floor.

The talent level is sure there for Cavs. Jamison and Williams are still very good players on paper but are they really the kind of players you want to be carrying your team?

They are third-tier "star" at best. Williams has had a fluke all-star appearance (ALL because his teammate was Lebron) and well we all know what Jamison can bring to the floor: empty double-doubles (all because it nets more L's than W's)

So yeah, the Cavs would be real lucky to make the playoffs. At best they battle for the 8th seed.

Cavs fans should just rest this year. Cry on their Lebron jerseys then burn their jerseys afterwards. This is like they got dumped and spurned by their lover and Cavs just don't have nobody else at this stage so they go back to being drunkards day-in day-out and when they wake up (from a hangover) they find themselves back in the lottery.

Will they recover? Of course. By 2018 they'll be contenders again--- on assumption there's a hometown hero from Ohio that's going to enter the NBA.

Williams is a good player. He's a good PG who can lead a good team. As for Jamison, I think you're selling him short, DT. He's got lots of skill. He's always been a good rebounder and a smart shooter. No, he's not a powerful player, but he's skilled.

Probably so Blair but... i just doubt that he is the FIRST option on a contending team. i don't think he is franchise player material but just a very good 2nd or even 3rd option...

Well, looking at his time in Dallas, it's clear that he was not even a 3rd option, so you might be right. But, in Washington, remember that he was part of the Butler/Arenas trio and they were pretty good. Well, we'll see what happens.
