Rumor has it that the Atlanta Hawks are inclined to hire Ettore Messina. His last stint was with Mike Brown and the ill fated Lakers.

It seems GM Danny Ferry will enter training camp with 14 players as invites to David Lighty, the French Pro A finals MVP and D-League regular Eric Dawson. Last season, Hawks were also in personnel downsizing as they entered camp with 14 players.

I thought that the Wizards would win given how John Wall was tearing in the 4th but Hawks were resilient and Horford saved the night.

Tremendous shootout by Jeff Teague and Kyrie Irving. In the last 20 secs of 2OT, Irving got a jumpshot to tie it at 125 all but Teague nailed a 20 footer to clinch it. Jeff Teague would finish with 34 points and 14 assists.

ESPN Radio reports that Al Horford is not coming back come playoff time.

With Horford having season ending surgery, the main man for the Hawks is Jeff Teague now. Teague is having a career season so far and in year one of his $32 Million - 4 year bond. Hawks will need to dig deep now and maybe Gustavo Ayon could be given a break once he gets back into form.

Some good news in Kyle Korver, who is still scorching from his fiery December play.

Paul Millsap has been named eastern conference player of the week. It is a nice gesture through recognition. Recently, Kyle Korver was named to the Team USA pool. Hawks got some good media exposure this week.
