The 2023-2024 NBA Season

Wembanyama had a respectable debut in the SL with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks in 27 minutes. His FG shooting is atrocious 2/13. Understandable he is looking to score first and wants to make an impression. He will settle down after getting off the pressure in his debut.

Bay Area Dragons scoring guard Myles Powell played for Houston earlier. He played only 6 minutes (4 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists).

decent stats actually, close to what Chet is averaging this summer league. And as expected a lot of players will be targeting him for poster dunks similar to Yao during the Sydney Olympics and his 1st month in the NBA.

Too much Pressure on Vic Wembayama he is no Jordan no LeBron or even Kareem. The NBA needs to stop overhyping him. I think he might average 14-16 ppg, 8 rpg, 3 bpg in his rookie season, Good stats Spurs might win 35-38 games next season.

I think Scoot Henderson will score more than Chet or Wemby. Scoot has the ball more often compare to Chet/Wemby. A great ball creator and excellent jump shooter. That’s why I think Scoot may steal the ROY from Chet/Wemby.

Chet/Wemby’s value is on the defensive side of the floor; can switch out and guard positions 1 to 5. Both are already elite shot blocking abilities which makes their team more lethal. Both don’t need to create to score much as their teams have designated scorers already.

The young guys I’m excited to see this year are Jabari Smith, Ochai Agbaji and Shaedon Sharpe.

If we are to base Wemby's level by his stat lines yes he will be underwhelming in his rookie year .

But his impact to winning can add 20 more wins and in the.peocess be a all NBA defense team candidate as a rookie, that's his value

On offense I don't see Wemby as a go to scorer (not yet), but more of a hub, he's drawing 2 or 3 defenders, gravity..
Wemby presence will make Vassel, Keldon, Sochan and Malaki much better scorers and yes even defenders, cause they can cheat and stay home now.

SPURS won't be contenders in a few years

lol keegan murray still playing@ the summer league, he’s a freaking starter for the sacramento during the playoffs

Victor looks more of a 7'4" Joakim Noah. Unspectacular scorer, but great defender and passer.

so this is trending since yesterday, Wemby security hits Britney Spears. Apparently Britney is a Spurs fan, who would have thought

Thing about Wemby's defense is he isn't just a rim protector, but he's good at guarding the perimeter, and actually blocks 3 pt shots.., which is really unique

He's the only 1 I've seen who actually can block 3 pt attempts without fouling, normally this is not advised by coaches , but Victor's length and foot speed is unique

Not worried with Wemby's shooting , he's 19 and shoots 84 % from FT, with his height he's going to have alot of uncontested looks

On offense, I'm actually more excited on Champagnie. The guy is 6'8 and can do it all. On ball, off ball. Defense and rebounding. He's the best player on the Spurs summer league so far by a mile.

Which actually makes Keldon expendable and overpaid , if can find something in return I would move 6'5 forward Keldon

I would trade Keldon , Wesley and a future 1st round pick in a deal with Portland.and Miami to get Herro. A scorer as lead guard.

Of all the Spurs SF, Keldon ,Julian etc I think Osman is the most dependable (defense and smarts )he's the guy I would keep.
