Whys?

Why did Houston Rockets threw 130M/3years for Fred Vanfleet?
also 80M/4years for Dillon Brooks??? Who did they outbid for Brooks? Rockets themselves?

Portland giving Jerami 160M/5years – Lillard definitely decided “I AM LEAVING!”

Dallas and Wizards Committing
Kyrie 126M/3years and KUZMA/POOLE tandem for 200 MILLION USD?!?!?

(at least KYRIE-KUZMA-POOLE have name recalls - they should at least bring them seats-views and new gen sales)

Kyrie's contract is decent of he ever shuts up and just play like he used too. The others are head scratchers

Rockets spent more than $200 million for a shot at the play-in tournament. Overspending is a understatement. Though I like the Jeff Green and FVV signing since this would give direction and winning culture to the young Rockets core.

I guess you need to overspend to lure players to sign with godawful teams. Agree with linusports on Brooks, who did they bid against?, atleast FVV has some interest in the FA market (Lakers)

the new Rockets roster , while talented , doesn't really fit , and does not have a consistent approach, the new vets will stunt the growth of the recent draft picks .. also most of their players are ball dominant. i don't think this will work ( with all the money spent this isn't a serious title contending team, if the goal is the playoffs, you can achieve this with young talent and a few less expensive vets

Meanwhile, Dallas interested in signing Bol Bol, boy just when you think that the Mavs' locker room is too toxic, they add another toxic piece

ESPN Sources: The NBA's new In-Season Tournament Final Four is set for December 7 and 9 in Las Vegas. Statistics will count for the league's regular season, except for the championship game of the event.

For a low 2nd round pick guy.. Agent is good

Rookie Trayce Jackson-Davis has agreed to a four-year deal with the Golden State Warriors, including two guaranteed seasons, his agents James Dunleavy and Max Lipsett of @excelbasketball tell ESPN. Jackson-Davis was the 57th pick out of Indiana U. in the June draft.

Craig's with the Bulls now. We got him on a 2-year contract for $5 million.

Good catch. His defence on LeBron 2 years ago was phenomenal. He'll be a good veteran presence on the Bulls but maybe they should start thinking about rebuilding?

BEN SIMPS?

What is and whatever happened to BEN SIMMONS again?

Should the NBA and all its teams - staffs - fans - feel some type of way for Ben Simmons??? at this time, after everything, It feels like he scamming everyone at this point in time
yes??? no???

Matisse Thybulle (offer sheet) and Grant Williams headed to Dallas, Mavs got upgraded at the wing position with 3 and D players who wont need that many touches.

My thoughts too on the rebuilding part. This team has peaked, I think. Get what we can for LaVine and maybe DeRozan and Vuč.

Wemby’s 1st game at las vegas already sold out (17500 tickets) i think the last time this happened was during Lebron’s SL debut ( correct me if im wrong)

you can trace the Grant signing. Lillard demanded TB to resign Grant and sign Draymond. Lillard demanded the trade after Draymond said yes to return to GSW. I dont know if Grant signed already, but if not, TB can still retract the offer and make him UFA.

Wizards saved a huge amount of money that we will all see in the next few years but "dumping" Beal's salary. not sure why they didnt cash in on Kuz.
Dallas gave up a lot for Kyrie, i think they are just hoping he pans out. but that definitely not a good move.

ayan, i was able to have some coffee. i am with you, wtf is houston thinking? neither FVVs or Brook's contract are tradeable until maybe after 3 years. they have a starter level PG in KPG and picked a shorter but projected to be a better version of ben simmons.... and now both will come off the bench because they got FVV. wut???

they have a very young but good batch of wing players in green, smith, martin, and tate. they gave away martin and will bench tate so that dillon can start because you paid him to. they also drafted a lottery talent who slid to #20 in cam whitmore. a player everyone is expecting to be able to score a ton of points but needs to build other skills. he will be scrapping mins from the bench as well because of Dillon whose best ability is to annoy other players. wtf? forgot about eason as well, he probably wont play much or be forced to bleed mins at pf.

they did ok in signing londale but i think they could have done better in getting Sengun either a better backup or a vet who can mentor him. i think the only true center is sengun and londale.

signing Green is the only sensible move they did this FA week. however, that actually didnt solidify the PF spot. its just him and Smith. as per above, maybe tate or eason will see time here but both are undersized though they have good motor kind of like Faried.

Spurs should try to be the 3rd team in Mia-Por trade and get Herro as primary ball handler for Keldon + two 2024 2RP.. i actually like this idea.

The Kings are acquiring Pacers G Chris Duarte for two second-round picks, sources tell ESPN. Pacers will receive a 2028 second (via Dallas) and the Kings' 2030 second-round pick. Trade will be finalized today.

Wembanyama had a respectable debut in the SL with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks in 27 minutes. His FG shooting is atrocious 2/13. Understandable he is looking to score first and wants to make an impression. He will settle down after getting off the pressure in his debut.

Bay Area Dragons scoring guard Myles Powell played for Houston earlier. He played only 6 minutes (4 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists).
