The rehabilitation takes about six months. ( ambulatory remedial exercises - as a human, not basketball player)

Also, Disciplinary action will be taken against him.

He can't play 2014~15 season. (of course, not spain).

Almost the same recovery time as Meralco Bolts' Jared Dillinger, who suffered a broken pelvis in an accident last year and missed the FIBA Asia tournament.

Hoping for Kim Min-goo to get well soon.

Game against Japan is about to start in an hour. Yoo Jae-Hak is wary or wear and tear to his veterans from the live interview conducted awhile ago. Previous game against BYU-Hawaii, Yoo cut down the minutes of Yang Dong-Geun, Cho Sung-Min and Moon Tae-Jong.

Choi Jin-Soo looks like is getting more minutes this game. Choi Joon-Young has been playing shooting guard as of late while Park Chan-Hee has been assigned to a combo guard.

Is this an exhibition game against Japan? Can you update us the links if there is a streaming or the stats?

This is a scrimmage for both. Japan preparing for the Asia Cup while Korea needs tune ups for the world cup.

Korea lost today to Japan 68-65 as Yoo Jae-Hak limited the activity of Cho Sung-Min and Moon Tae-Jong. Instead, Yoo wanted the youngsters to play more and used peculiar combinations like Lee Seung-Hyun at SF, Oh Se-Keun at PF and Jang Jae-Seok at center. Result was Japan used a combination of screen and rolls as well as a disorganized running game to get a good start. Kim Sun-Hyung could not stop Daiki Tanaka.

It seems like a long time since the Takeuchi twins played a good game together.

Final exhibition game against BYU-Hawaii later. Yoo Jae-Hak hinted that he may rest his veterans again. This means more playing time for Choi Jin-Soo and Choi Joon-Young. While the playing time for the bigmen have been more than generous as Jang Jae-Seok gets to play around 8 minutes.

Tired legs, cold outside shooting and lots of turnovers resulted in Korea losing to BYU-Hawaii 72-59. The only consolation was the determined stand of Lee Jong-Hyun and Kim Jong-Kyu in this one as they protected the rim very well but that wasn't enough to quell the points off turnovers from the mistakes of Yang Dong-Geun and Cho Sung-Min.

Korea looked very tired on this game. They wound up 3-2 in five games against BYU-Hawaii and Japan national team.

Kim Tae-Sol is improving and is currently working on his conditioning. He is wearing a protective cast on his surgically repaired index finger. According to news, Kim is still questionable for the trip to New Zealand.

Ha Seung-Jin got a full clearance from the Armed Forces & Civil Defense today. Later this week, Ha Seung-Jin will undergo a complete medical and join his team, Jeonju KCC Egis. Ha Seung-Jin will also be available for a national team call up if ever. This was confirmed by Seung-Jin himself after an interview with AsiaKP.

From Seung-Jin's facebook photo, he lost a lot of weight.

Korea will board a flight this weekend to New Zealand. First exhibition game is in Wellington against the Tall Blacks. It is unclear at the moment if Kim Tae-Sol will be able to join as he is still undergoing some rehab. Lee Jong-Hyun, Lee Seung-Hyun and Choi Joon-Young will re-join the team after playing for their respective schools in the concluded Asia Pacific Basketball Challenge. Moon Seong-Gon is said to be being considered in joining the trip.

Yoo Jae-Hak announced the roster that willy fly to New Zealand for training.

Kim Sun-Hyung (Seoul SK Knights)
Yang Dong-Geun (Ulsan Mobis Phoebus)
Park Chan-Hee (Anyang KGC)
Cho Sung-Min (Busan Sonicboom KT)
Yang Hee-Jong (Anyang KGC)
Kim Joo-Sung (Wonju Dongbu Promy)
Moon Tae-Jong (LG Sakers)
Lee Seung-Hyun (Korea University)
Choi Joon-Young (Yonsei University)
Choi Jin-Soo (Goyang Orions)
Kim Jong-Kyu (LG Sakers)
Lee Jong-Hyun (Korea University)
Oh Se-Keun (Anyang KGC)
Jang Jae-Seok (Goyang Orions)

Kim Tae-Sol could not make it because he was not 100% and Yoo Jae-Hak said that resting will aid his recovery. Same goes for Lee Dae-Sung and Yoon Ho-Young. No Ha Seung-Jin or Moon Seong-Gon call up for this one.

seems like korea has a lot of injury and personnel issues. why did korea decide not to compete in fiba asia cup?

bad injury for kim min goo. had a breakout last year but this accident. hope he recovers from this. jared dillinger also had a pelvic injury last year from motor vehicle accident but he's playing well now.

Similar to 2012, Korea opted not to play in the FIBA Asia Cup due to commitments. In 2012, they were preparing for the Olympic wildcard tournament and for this year, they committed to playing New Zealand's Tall Blacks.

I understand Ha Seung-jin can be a big liability and doesn't really mesh with the team's style, but I think it could be a costly mistake to not take him to the World Cup. He is needed in certain situations since nobody is even nearly as big.

I agree with Sinobball, but Yoo Jae-Hak did say that after the NZ training, players maybe dropped and added to the final squad which is also a possibility for the Asian Games. That would mean if ever Yang Dong-Geun or Kim Joo-Sung are not healthy entering the world cup, they may be pulled out and saved for the Asian Games.

Korea lost 102-69 in game 1 in the series against the Tall Blacks. First quarter was close but foul troubles had given the Tall Blacks a cushion. 2nd quarter was a horrible time for Korea as they got badly outplayed and outscored by the Tall Blacks. Korea looked like deadweight against the ball movement and energy by the host. Moon Tae-Jong shot poorly and Cho Sung-Min was winded down by trying to defend Kirk Penney. Kim Joo-Sung is still the best player for Korea as he had his moments; showing the young guys on how to use deception and finesse in scoring against bigger and stronger players.

Korea bounced back to stun the Tall Blacks 76-75. Moon Tae-Jong was on target for this game. Korea did right with their aggressive passing lane defense that converted fast break points when the tide was turning against them. That, and the spacing, ball movement and better shot selection.

some highlight

You can see http://konansports.blogspot.kr/ in real time. But, I'm not sure it can see outside S.Korea.
You should use Chrome Brower (not Internet Explorer). next game 2014.7.19 19:30 (newzealand time)

WOW! Thanks!
I have a browser plugin that can bypass restricted contents(if its not possible outside korea). I'll try to see if I can see it live. Thanks a lot!

lol at the title :D
