Sonics to OK city

The NBA approved the move of the Sonics to OK city, according to lnb.fr.

Still, anyone knows if it will change anything to the divisions?
 
Whoa. I never would've thought that the Sonics would move from Seattle. How about the Kings moving to Vegas?

Money is the power as i always say. Seattel team sucked for centuries thats why fans did not came here and thats why they are moving to the Oklahoma (?). If the Kevin Durant the super magical accuracy guy will lead Sonics again then they will move after couple years again LOL. This is so pathetic that I almost throw up writing this post and thinking about that team.

Moving Kings to Vegas I am sure will make more profit :) but again - they don't care about the Sacramento true fans... And you still want to watch NBA after all this @#$%? :)

Actually Durant shot this season better than Lebron in his debut season and 47%FG after All-Stars

It's simple. Sonics were bought by a millionaire from Oklahoma (Clay Bennett), his intention from day one was moving the team to OKC.
 
So the franchise will keep its name?

What happened to that wonderful alliteration? Seattle SuperSonics...

Also the history of those names becomes meaningless. The team got their name from a Boeing project and Boeing is located in Seattle...
Just like it's ridiculous, that the Utah Jazz got that Jazz in their name that somehow belongs to the city of New Orleans...

Yes. I hate it when they keep those names. I mean, us Americans are supposedly so creative. Can't we think of something new?

Anyhow, like Test said, this is all about the money.
 
And Grizzlies. Do they have Grizzlies in Memphis?

According to wikipedia there are common Native American culture. So i suggest to call it

Oklahoma City Indians

The reason for the move(officially) was the arena. The Sonics have been asking for a new one for a few years, and Seattle never answered the right way...
As the NBA was interested in Okhlahoma City since the NO intermede, they must be happy by now.

Who gives a fuck, where a team plays, when it's a team people like to watch. And why shouldn't Oklahoma fans support new team. This is so fake attempt of morality it makes me puke. I could ask why would you still want to watch Euroleague, when biggest budget repeatedly wins titles lately. Money is the power here a lot more than in the States as you can see...
I guess you just adore it how lot of European clubs change their names all the time because of the new sponsors. Is that better? Get over of your blind unintelligent NBA-hate.
