Shabazz Muhammad

Muhammad will debut tonight. UCLA (3-0) against Georgetown (2-0). All eyes on Muhammad as tip off nears.

Muhammad with 15 points for his debut, but Bruins lost to Hoyas 78-70.

Not the start that we had hoped for Muhammad and his Bruins. After battling injuries and ineligibility issues, Muhammad is still trying to jell with his team. They are trying to move away with the collapse from Cal-State Poly. Muhammad struggled in that game offensively, but showcased his other aspects of his polished game like rebounding.

We should also note the struggles of Kyle Anderson, who had much more time in adjustment with his teammates, unlike Muhammad.

Muhammad was named Pac-12 Player of the Week. His 27 point outing against seventh ranked Missouri lead UCLA to a thrilling overtime win. That did the trick. A good start for 2013 after finally gaining his stride in mid-December.

slowly getting in shape, but I think Ben Mclemore is a better prospect...

At this point, I would say yes. From my passive following of Muhammad this season, he is showing to be a one dimensional player; all he does is score and it did not fuel UCLA's PAC12 aspirations of lording it over. It seems, Muhammad is not even trying in defense as he has yet to block a shot this season and only five steals so far. While his assists numbers are extremely disappointing.

No doubt, Mclemore is Mr. JayHawks now. His improved percentages from his fg% and 3pt% is a product of him choosing his shots wisely. More efficient than Muhammad.

We'll see more comparisons as college hoops heat up.

What do you think can Ben Mclemore can go #1 in the 2013 draft? and what do you think about Nerlens Noel?

It is hard to foresee, but it could happen if Kansas goes the distance and Mclemore still putting up those numbers or better. As for Noel, I find him raw in the offense, but his natural shot-blocking is an asset. I look for Noel to skid as March Madness approaches. At this point, I'll pick Cody Zeller, Alex Len and Willie Cauley-Stein ahead of Noel.

A lot of draft sites already had Ben Mclemore as the first pick in the 2013 draft, he is also being compared to Ray Allen. I agree for me Noel is overrated, Cody Zeller reminds me of a young Pau Gasol needs to improve his toughness I like Alex Len a lot his athletic, a great rebounder and he has a great footwork. and How about Marcus Smart and Anthony Bennett?

Marcus Smart and Anthony Bennett have been big winners in terms of leap in most draft boards. Smart could be drafted into the top five due to his pedigree of an NBA lead guard prototype. Plus I like the ripple effect on which Smart is having towards beneficiary and teammate, LeBryan Nash.

While Bennett I see could be a top ten pick. I'm not too sure if Bennett is an SF or PF. There will be questions on what position will Bennett thrive in the NBA. He's too small to be a PF while there are still deficiencies on his game to be an NBA level SF. Anyways, Canada wins big on him.

Oh no, just I'm just a basketball follower. Anyways, been a fan of Calipari since he recruited Tyreke Evans.

About Muhammad, a scout opened quite a pitch when he recommended that the Charlotte Bobcats, (who have been following Muhammad's progress) should trade Muhammad or pass up on Muhammad.

yeah I agree Bobcats needs a go to scorer they have the pieces, I think Muhammad is a perfect fit with the Bobcats, You'll have Walker, Kidd-Gilchrist, Mullens, Biyombo, Taylor and Henderson.

How about overrated players whose on your list? for me Adonis Thomas, James McAdoo, Wear Twins, Poythress...

For my part the OR ones are Noel and McAdoo. Both were hyped so much during their recruitment.

For me Noel is a top 5 pick, Defensively he's a beast a Marcus Camby type of a player.

Not long after UCLA's defeat against Minnesota, Muhammad's father admitted that Muhammad is 20 years old and not 19 years old. What a very frustrating time for Shabazz.

Good luck to Muhammad in the NBA Draft. One and done way that has gone wrong. He had a tumultuous college career from injuries, to eligibility questions, up and down production and the fake date of birth that his manipulative father exposed.

Went #14 to Utah.

I have a question though: did his father intentionally falsify his birth certificate? I didn't know it could be done in this country. And why would he admit that all of a sudden?
