NBA basketball as a basketball sucks and is boring. NBA players as individuals are the best, but not nba basketball as a team sport.
 
This video is funny ,first of all the title.Mistakes?I see one call which is correct by the way.Couldn't you come up with anything better than this?

Anyway the ref took the right decision,that lay up was disastrous,hit the glass and doesn't even reach the rim,it's out, it's Gays intervention that makes the ball hit the ring.Nothing illegal here,it's like he took a rebound out of an air ball.Stop the video at 0.24 to see for yourselves.

Go to read some basketball rules, dude.

If a basketball HITS the BOARD, you CANNOT touch it above the rim, especially if Rim was not touched.
And it was: Board -> Hand -> Rim. it's 100% points. this could reduce the gap up to 9 points only.
 
i agree,except the ball wasn't above the rim,it was OUT of the rim.Unless Gay touches it it's a pathetic lay up.Excellent call by the ref.
 
I find it incredibly sad that someone went through the trouble of making that video.

Especially considering the ref made the right call, and even threw a bone at the Lit coach by not penalizing him.
 
Ball looked out of the rim to me *shrug* in any case, this wasn't exactly a game changer, or pivotal moment in the game.

At worst it's just an isolated bad call (*shock* yes those do happen), though I think the ref got it right.
 
For me, this would be a good match.. I like them both.. But of course I voted for my country! :D

Actually it was tsill above. Look it in slow motion and you will see.

Yes the ball would have fallen out considering the strength it was flying however Gay stu[idly hit it while the whole ball was not OUT of the rim yet, one more second and it would have been, however, Rudy did not wait and blocked the shot while the ball was still not out of rim so technically it should have been goal-tending.

And that moment it was a run 8-0, two more points would have made more difference than usual.

The very fact that you need slow motion to determine if it's a bad call or not, kind of absolves the refs of this who had to make a call in real time. Even in slow motion it still looks out before contact at the 22 second mark imo.

The question is Height of the ball.
If the ball has hit the board and still is ABOVE the rim - you cannot touch it untill if falls below/hits the rim.
 
Dang refs! If they would have done their job correctly we would have only lost by 10 points or so :mad:
