with the aussie possession it would be quick spanish foul and potential 2 or 3 point lead.

Not agree at all. Australia had the game on his hands, but we still fight and believed although we were 11 down. Our players gave everything on the court in the OTs, taking difficult shots and defending with all.

All Balcan and related countries cannot stand that they think they are kind of inventors of basketball and the best teams of the continent for many years and for the years to come are Spain and France. I can see the difference. But as a customer, if I pay to come out as the winner of this game I'd be pretty pissed if my refs give Australia a chance to win. Can you see the difference between giving Australia a chance and not giving them any chance?

If someone doesn't like the behavior or character of Spanish players this is one thing but to say that refs one this thing is rather unbelievable. This is a great group that absolutely deserved to win it all this year and they most probably will. Another show that defense, tactical discipline and a true floor general (eventhough many laughed on him all the time), veteran leaders and clear defined roles are everything in such a tournament. Refs...lol Incredible. Always from the same directions by the way.

Exactly. This is why I may suspect that you would have liked to have Teo and a "veteran" trainer for Serbia. They will be in the final instead of playing uninteresting games.

in all my years here, and I have been coming to interbasket for more then a decade, I have never seen a comment from a spanish user in which he would condemn a spanish player for flopping or bitching to refs on the floor.
whether it is an NT game or spanish club game.
just curious, do you really don't see all the flopping of your players or you see it but you are just fine with it?

If Australia old guys hold up for another year and they add Exum,Simmons and Bolden for the Olympics they could have another very good chance next year.But it could be their last.Every important player will be over 30 and noone can expect Simmons to be as loyal as Mills to NT(he was even playing at Oceania championships every summer)

I've had this exact same conversation many times. When one of your players flop you call him "crafty" and say he "knows how to get calls". They only flop if they play for the opposing side. That's a given no matter who you cheer for. Accordingly, someone who fouls hard is a "banger" or a "enforcer". Only will call him a "dirty player" or a "hacker" when he's not in our team. That's a given, no matter who you cheer for.

Anyway, you should take a close look at all the bad calls that Australia got. Phantom fouls, shoving, bad gestures, flopping, jawing refs... they did it all. Why do you focus only on what spaniards got away with?

Spain has X5 greek population and have won medals with naturalized players cause they cant produce their own. Still they only exist in basketball maps only after 2005. Just a firework due to a good genereation of flopping actors
