Was watching a sports show on TV last night, its very unfortunate that it is as if they are more excited in the coming UAAP wars rather than the Asian Championship. I am not an alma mater of any of the schools in Manila although my late father was a graduate of medicine in UST but i think as Filipinos, we should all rally for our team. It is regrettable that most filipinos are more concerned on their team may it be collegiate or commercial rather than the GILAS but mind you, and God Willing if our Team will win all the way, almost all the people will talk about them and not just us IBNers.

Taipei vs Iran:

3 min to go in 1Q: IRI 8 - TPE 4

End of Q1: IRI 10 - TPE 8

Hadadi: 3 fouls, Q2

End of 1st Half: TPE 19 - IRI 17

Final Score: IRI 49 - TPE 37

OT: Yo bats, I like that last line of yours. Reminded me of an old Batman issue wherein Bruce Wayne infiltrated Black Mask's nefarious crime ring. At one point, Lucius Fox was abducted and mauled badly by Black Mask's henchmen and presented to the crime boss himself. Black Mask ran his fingers through Fox's bleeding face and the last panel showed the villain using Fox's blood as war paint in anticipation of the showdown ahead...

Hey, you dudes don't need to sound defensive...hehe.:D As you said, there's nothing to lose.

Honestly amused because this is way better than the forum prelude to the 2007 Tokushima and 2009 Tianjin games wherein, vitriol, trolls, and all sorts of vermin kept coming out of the IBN woodwork.

Haven't shaved my playoff hockey beard, but I've shaved my legs clean. So that's my way of manning up. :D:D

I'd really love to put on the avy, but I apologize that I'm tech-challenged.

With or without it though, it's Team Pilipinas all the way!!!

OT: omg Knightfall lol that was in 1993. that's a classic! i only started collecting dc comics in 2008 with the flash. now i collect at least 7 titles a month. can't wait to read the batman issue #1 coming off the flashpoint mega-reboot of the dc universe. it'll be out sept. 21.

speaking of reboot, this current team pilipinas is a better version of the 2007 smc team. we see our erstwhile champions jimmy alapag, kelly williams and asi taulava mixing it up with the next generation stars. just like in the comics lol. all other things being equal, it should get the job done. here's to a respectable finish! cheers.;)

Same observation bro. Like us, they too, went through so many disappointments in the past FIBA ASIA. Napagod na sila at nawalan ng interes i guess.

The good thing is we are still here supporting our TEAM ALL THE WAy!

Do not be afraid .....

a blast in the past.

We have learned from past wars ... will now be payback time.

Blame TV stations for there lack of support and coverage to our Team and also sponsors.

Stop making fool out of yourselves in the Lebanese forums.. Be considerate. Cause your not only making a bad impression of yourself but also the whole RP.

Act your age and act decently.
im with you on that bro! The best way to deal with this is just wait and stop all this nonsense conspiracy theory. This is very normal in international competition. Noli eala has a point there in noting that they should have brought someone from the SBP during the meeting. Anyways, hoping everything will turn out okay with Macio and lassiter. If not then we should find ways to compensate for their loss. Lastly, kudos to nardy for those infos provided. You are the bomb sir!

lol at bet365(the green flash board at the side of sportlemon's livestream)

from +/- 6.5 now its +/-3.5 :D

update*

wtf...chinese magic is going on..

downright pathetic. questioning lutz and marcio at this point in time of the competition. outrageous. well, the good news about it is, they (whoever they maybe!) consider our team a threat. remember guys, only one slot is allotted to go to London and they would do everything, at all cost, to get this one lone slot. no matter what! let's hope for the best...

guys

this hayop este hagop is the lebanese version of graham lim. he has also harmed lebanese basketball . we just need to think for a minute and realize which team will benefit from a disabled Gilas team in the early rounds...its the favorite team of graham and his friends. See below the old 2008 news about hagop:

We are now being told that the FIBA Asia Lebanese deputy secretary general is asking for Chris Lutz' passport. Decision on elibility by 6p.m
What kind of organization is FIBA to question player's eligibility when he played in qualifying tournament and other FIBA events?Harassment.
