Dang, have not posted here for a while due to being on vacation in Bosnia.

Anyways, I am so happy that we drafted Thomas Robinson, what a steal for us. Fills in our need for defense, leadership, toughness, and hustle. He can also show off some post moves once in a while, which are not too shabby, to be honest.

Yes, I'm having a Christmas in July with the Kings drafting Robinson. He was my first pick for the Kings on who will they draft.

Definitely, what is there to dislike about the kid? And the stories, man, it is amazing what he overcame. Congrats to him and I sure hope he brings what we think he will to the team.

I'm excited as well. He was number 2 on my wish list after Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Robinson is a high character guy, tough working, with one of the qualities that seems to almost always translate between college and NBA- he is a great rebounder. Very happy with the pick.

Representatives from the Sacramento Kings have met with Orlando Magic restricted free agent Ryan Anderson. There are rumors that the Kings are tendering a contract offer to Anderson.

Anderson is a native of Sacramento.

AEG told Sacramento City Mayor Kevin Johnson that they will not finance any construction for the new arena unless a stable anchor is committed. This effectively kills Plan B for a new arena.

Rotoworld reports that the Sacramento Kings are preparing a multi-year contract extension to forward / center Jason Thompson.

It is reported that unrestricted free agent Terrence Williams is drawing interest from the Phoenix Suns and Detroit Pistons.

sorry for being a bit out of loop, but what is "plan A" ?

The original agreement between the Sacramento Arena Task Force (City) and the Maloofs. It housed the financial structure and target dates for progress. The Maloofs backed out as they were not willing to participate in any major finances.

The agent of Orlando Magic restricted free agent Ryan Anderson, told the Sacramento Bee that they have the Kings as an option as a potential signing. It seems that Anderson and his camp are using the Kings' interest as a leverage to get a levy of pay from the Orlando Magic.

As of the moment, Jason Thompson has yet to accept the qualifying offer and there are reports that the drafting of Robinson and the Kings' interest of Anderson have bothered him.

Thomas Robinson headlines our summer league roster. Jimmer Fredette will play. Hassan Whiteside is expected to start at center. Pre-draft workouts like Rob Kurz and Alex Young are there as well. Darnell Jackson, the former Kings player (2009-10) will also suit up.

Some footage & player invterviews from Team USA practice, with an emphasis on Demarcus Cousins and his attempt to work his way onto the Olympic team: http://www.news10.net/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=200153 (Scroll down on the left for additional footage).

A few quotes:
"He brings a physicality to the game that really changes the energy of the game. He's not afraid to make contact, he's not afraid to upset guys and kind of make the game uncomfortable." -Kobe
"Yeah, he was fouling the shit out of everybody..." -Melo

Nice. I like how Kobe's quote is very measured and thoughtful like he is trained to say it during interviews and then Carmelo just comes out and says what, I'm sure, a lot of players were thinking.

Our Summer League schedule for this summer looks like this:

July 13 - vs. Bobcats
July 14 - vs. Lakers
July 16 - vs. Rockets
July 18 - vs. Raptors
July 19 - vs. Celtics
