It would probably be some sort of record in case Russia would win by a high margin, bigger than 15 as I am not sure if any team with a positive score differential didn't make it out of the group within the recent system.

edit: didn't have to look far. Latvia in 2013 had a +2 score differential and 1-4 ending as the last in group
