The team is extremely tired because of narrow rotation. Plus, Serbia is the only "team" in this tournament. Every knows each other's skills at advance. We should admit they are one step ahead of us in every offensive position. Unfortunately, we will wait Germany to win over Italy.

Coach is to blame 100% if they are tired, you were blowing out Germany and still used narrow rotation. That's a disgrace. I guess you were counting on Spain winning and then tanking this game as well, as with Spain to be 100% for Iceland.

Also playing 14-15 prep games! There is a reason you don't do that!

Osman is the key player for Turkey but he is not enough for something special. Guler is ok too.
All others are too much inconsistent.
The biggest problem is pick and roll defence, because Teodosic does that the best in the world.

You are crowding, pressuring and doubling the ballhandler even before the PnR is set-up and you keep creating so many open looks for our offense it's ridiculous. This kind of D can work against team who can't handle, create of pass everyone else will just rip it apart.

Savas is the best Turkish center but he is unjustly neglected.

Great game for us in first half, Teodosić already 10 assists!

Teodosic 10 assists.

Fener must bring him next season and with Kalinic and Bogdanovic that will be Serbian backcourt that rocks:)

I don't think he would leave CSKA for Fener, he likes playing there. It's not a money issue with him.

This might be the first game that Teodosić looks like the player from last years World Championship. Instantly, Serbia scores 53pts in one half.

He is on a cold shooting streak yes, but he has played extremely well all games except Germany. He was great as a leader and creator vs Spain. He killed Iceland in those few minutes he played, and this now is a masterclass.

I wrote in the topics for previous 2 Turkish victories. They risk TOOOO MUCH on defense. Teams that they have beat are extremely soft in the paint and their bigs don't roll and cut enough. Balanced teams will punish that. This looks like playground basketball.

You are totally right. I find this Turkish team terrible. because we won against Italy and Germany people are thinking oh Turkish team is not bad. Spain and serbia games show our true color. We risk too much in defense. Most of our players are absent from this tournament.(Enes Kanter,Ömer Aşık,Engin Atsür,Doğus Balbay,Ender Arslan etc.) This team is too weak for this tournaments Serbia and Spanish teams.

I know it's not money issue, but if he doesn't win EL next season with CSKA I think that with Zoc and his teamates from NT he has very good chance to do that with Fener.

Yes, Ender Arslan could kill Serbian defense with his intelligent game:rolleyes:

First shot for Teodisic in the second half = double double (10 rebs 10 pts).

Really you prefer Dixon,Mehmutoğlu or Köksal to Ender Arslan ?

Turkey is a defense team right? Dont make me laugh.

Even with all of them in the NT, you would be much stronger, but still in order to be elite and be able to win on a consistent basis you would need:

- More scoring threats beside Osman + Ilyasova (when motivated). Everybody else is just not good or consistent enough. Yes your defense would pick up immensely with Kanter+Asik. Offense would not.
- Poor coaching + Offensive and Defensive systems. You need to focus on playing a more modern approach to basketball since this is where the game is evolving.
- Lack of creation on the G part. This is a problem for many teams. It's just a must in modern basketball. Croatia has the same problem, even with all the other talent.
- I hate to say this, but Turkish league and mercenary approach to building teams is also a killer. Turkish talents don't get enough floor time, and I am not that sure it helps that they killed that 2 turkish players on court rule. Yes it might help the money teams buy a title or eventually win EL but it ain't gonna help the NT and Turkish kids develop.

Koksal and Mahmutoglu are not pgs. Dixon is not great but better then Arslan in shoting, more intelligent and better passing skills. When we all know how Dixon is bad decision maker and game breaker, you could only imagine then where is Arslan in that story...

Don't agree. Players in that system were overpayed and unmotivated to improve themselfs. Beside that, club success is equal important for basketball development like NT. Last season Cedi Osman was one od the key players in Efes, not because some stupid rule but for his quality.
Every Turkish player has a chance to play on high level with best players in Europe. It's up to them if they will use the chance or not.
