I'd say on the contrary, Slo players were surprisingly calm this game judging by their body-language, that's the reason they've won imo.
Exceptions Slokar and Zagorac.
As ussual they can't live without those nuances going wrong in defense and some unnecesary fouls (as CoachZ will say "hands, true but also some others), to make their lives a bit more miserable than it could be, Blažič needs some downs for every "up" which is just as ussual and Omić has troubles playing well against teams that are by his opinion not worth it, which in the past season for Olimpija translated in few great some average and a lot of miserable games. Whenever you believe this guy is good, remember at that.
Zone defense at the start of the second half got them out of rythm and Slo was visibly uncomfortable shooting all those threes, however with the defenders closer towards to the paint to kill the penetrations there wasn't much else to do there. Zagorac wasn't himself as ussualy those shots of his are going in, Balažič had an off night and Slokar still didn't get into rythm after that ankle injury, hopefully they'll get their ussual shot back when it'll matter as I really don't think with those 3 playing zone against Slovenia is he way to go.
While I am uncomfortable by some of their reactions to pressure and physical play, which I did expect before the championship and those mistakes repeating itself, that will obviously prevent this team from some bigger achievement this tournament, I liked their in game response every time Dutch tied the game or when they came close, pushing the score back to +7-10, the way I was actualy calmer in this game than against Georgia, they seemed confident in their abilities.
Slovenian players obviously know what they're doing wrong, the question is if they're actually able to fix that.
Dutch played relaxed through the game and have shown their worth, Kloopf has been a killer even against Klobučar and Blažič actualy playing some good agressive D, but lacked help down low on some occasions when it mattered. I also liked what the Dutch have done from the tactical point of view, closing the penetrations yet being there for decently defended 3pointers and encouraged either a 3pointer or back to back game in the paint. Will be interesting to see if they adapt that philosophy vs. Greeks as Koufos and Bourousis unlike Omić have skills to repeatedly score down low.
Good show by the Dutch this tournament, I'm glad they have shown they are not to be underestimated, sadly I don't think they could upset either Greece or Croatia to qualify to group of 16.
