This post is like pouring salt on Liths wounds
This is what I personally hate about basketball, it is a game of detail, of little trivial things making huge impact. A basket that counted while off time, makes all those things and 40 minutes go to waste.

Yeah that wasn't my intention...
I watched the last play again and I think the refs made mistake. But anyway good game for both, both teams will advance.

A pretty devastating loss for Lithuania. I'd rather lose fair and square than because of a bad job by the refs. But oh well.

Lithuania federation sending a letter to FIBA is not about hoping to correct something with the ref mistake, but asking so that FIBA would change the rules. Because FIBA states that the teamhas to protest the decision in 15 minutes after the game ended but if refs take time then its 10 minutes remain and since the it still takes team for the team to return to lockerroom and all that its practically impossible to watch that video replay and to protest by it.
FIBA either has to change the rules extending the time limit, or allow on of each NT team members take part in the video replay with them or stop hiring refs who are below players levels and ruin the game.

Stop this "we are small and nobody loves us" nonsence and read what was written. In tournament like that such game can't be replayed and it is not the first time and we are not the first team when it happens (ask Argentina about WC2002). Refery mistakes are part of the game. If you read correct, what we are asking FIBA about is not to replay game or change the result, but to make rules more clear, becourse by today FIBA rules you have 15 min. after a game to give protest and referies won't show you replay, they look it only by themselves. So basicly it is impossible to give protest.

That one referee should be banned from this tournament.I have no problem when referees making mistake in fast game progress...but god damm he was watching replay with slow motion !!! NO ESCUSES HERE.Or you have to be blind or do not understand the rules...Even any fan knows if backboard is already red , time is over.That blind refeeree was watching like 5 minutes and couldnt see it ? if he is so blind,atleast he could let watch other 2 referees,but no he decided to watch all by himself...
From what country is that one ' short 'referee,that was calling questiobale fauls all game on us,same wich decided that points were in time
? in the 3rd querter we were pissed when he give faul on kuzminskas,when belgium player was traveling ...Than our fans shoutted on him " fuck you referee"...maybe we hurt his feeling or something...We are the fans and we gonna support our team ,you are professional referee you can act like he did if he did that because of revenge.YOU are getting paid big money,to judge game fair...
Either way belgium deserve to win more than we did that for sure,Kudos to belgium they have fine team and very good team chemistry in their team.
in the 2 querter our players were leading by 13 points and thought game is done and belgium punished us.Thanks god our braliukai helped and beat czechs.Now if we win both games (estonia and czechs) we gonna finish the first still.Because in tiebreak 4-1 with lithuania,latvia,belgium we have +17, latvia -8. belgium -9...
I hope this lose and this unfair referee will united our team together.That could be a good thing.

Don't jump over our heads too early. A lot things can change - Latvia still have to games with Ukraine (that almost beat us, remember) and Estonia, we need to beat Czechs and Estonia, Belgium need to beat Czechs and Ukraine. A lot of things still can happen.

Latvia gonna play againts 2 weakest group teams at home i see win win.
If Lithuania wins both games estonia and czech we are first in the group.We do not care how belgium plays.
Latvia wins twice,Lithuania wins twice and : Lithuania wins a group,Latvian second.Other teams can change anything if we and broliukai win both games.
If one of us looses atleast one game,most likely that team will finish 3rd or even 4 th.

The blind ref is from Italy. I sure hope he never gets to ref another game again, or at least not on this level, otherwise he might ruin just another game.
On a positive side even FIBA site seems to think that that shot was after time since they didnt put that shot in their top plays though all last second decisive shots end up there.
