Ricky Rubio vs. Milos Teodosic in WC

I agree with these comparisons. I have a feeling that Teodosic is more of a PG then Saras ever was (don't get me wrong, Saras was a truly great), however, i always categorised him as a combo PG/SG. Prigioni is such a legend! I think that Rudy still has a way to go to become a Prigioni. Prigioni's decision making is just unparalleled! An amazing brain. But you're right, with experience I do believe that Ricky will become a Prigioni.
They are both combo. And I hope you aren't basing this on the last few Saras years in PAO where he was forced to play SG ;)

Teo and Rubio are different players

Rubio loves to drive to the basket while teodosic rarely penetrates inside the three point line unless he sees a gap
Overall, teo clearly the better player thus far but has a lot to improve on and Rubio even more if he wants to achieve what milos has

Rubio has the potential to be a star in the NBA but he need to work on his jumpshots. The other guy Teodosic, he is a good role player at best.

he could be better than our guards, i admit. if our guards smashed your guards in greece-turkiye game, he should be million times better than spanoulis ant other guards of greece as well.

Congratulations for beating Greece in a tournament that was rigged for Turkey to go to the final. Before that game you hadn't beaten us in an official game for 30 years... and just saying that Turkish guards are better than Diamantidis, Papaloukas, Zisis, Spanoulis is just plain ignorant.

Do you believe what you write?

I can't see it right now but he's young, he got the size and the tools and he got a great feel for the game. You never know, his game might be suited more on NBA. If he can't develop his jumpshots, he's gonna end up like Marco Jaric.

LOOL that is not even up for debate are you kidding? Have you even seen prime Saras play? My guess is no.

Have you seen prime Milos Teodosic play:) and he's kicking ass right now again watch his highlights ,unbelievable passes from one side of the court to another , assists with the crazy angles, unbelievable three point shots etc:cool:

Dissapointing tourney for Rubio, he showed me more at the '08 Olympics versus stronger competition than in this tournament.

I'm with everyone else, right now Teodosic is a better player by a good margin

Show me one of your unbelievable highlights please

For me the better player right now is Teodosic. But Rubio has a lot of upside (potential) compared to Teodosic. Rubio has lanky arms and has savvy court vision. In short he has a good feel for the game. Good shooting mechanics and shot release (still needs to practice more). He also attacks the basket a lot which is a good sign. Plays defense which means he plays the right way. Right now he is very raw, he is just 19. He has a lot of time to improve.

For Teodosic, he is the best PG in Europe no doubt. He is 23. He is a good shooter no doubt about that. He also plays well in clutch situations. But I think he doesn't have a lot of upside, if you would look at his body buildup. His skills will improve but in a limited manner. Doesn't have lot of speed. He also tends to slack off on defense.

To summarize it all up, Teodosic is the better player right now. But in time Rubio would catch up, in a couple more years I guess.

In european bball milos will ALWAYS be light years ahead rubio.
Under NBA rules rubio can prove a quite successfull player while teodosic will be a big failure for the same reasons saras failed.
NBA #1 value is athleticism and guys with teo and saras skillset simply do not belong there.

Teodosic apart from bball skills has a strong personality, he is a big leader in the making. Rubio is more of a "worker", he'll never be the guy you will expect to make the decisive last plays and give you the win, he doesn't have that attribute inside him.

To be honest i think rubio is overhyped in a very big extend.
He matured and reached a high playing level at a very very young age and that made him look as an extraterrestrial project at the time. But the thing is that despite being only 19 years old he almost have reached his full capabilities already.

I disagree. He has a lot of upside, we just don't know if he has the work ethic to meet it.

Well, Rubio had a really bad tournament, while Milos was really good.

Eventhough, Rubio is still a young player, and in my opinion he is better than Milos.

Jason Kidd is hundred times better then Arenas as PG and never take the decisive shots. Rubio is a true PG not a Combo Guard like Miloš!

Do you think Rubio is that much more athletic than Teodosic? After watching both of them a fair amount I wouldn't say so.

I'd say that Rubio is more energetic definitely. Milos doesn't have to be as quick or as athletic because he has a much higher basketball IQ.

saras got compared to teo?? no no no till now.saras is more creative, not affected by crowd and not playing on refs and having more self confidence.maybe teo can be like in the next years.but for now, dotn compare teo with saras.we will se if teo can improve himself as mentioned points.
