Hey guys, I can't say I watch a lot of Israeli ball, however Richard Roby - one of the better Colorado players in the last decade - currently plays in Israel.

Any bigs fans?

Well I am, but that's because I followed him first in the U.S., actually used to work with his aunt (who is also a very tall).

He's played well in the games I've seen him play. I still think he has a big upside and if not in the NBA, will be a EL player.

2 mediocre years in israel in different team.

not athletic enough, soft, passive, quiet.

Agree. He came as a big promise to Bney-Hasharon and did more or less nothing.
In Haifa he had few good games, but only as a shooter.
No dribbling , no defense and nothing special in court vision.

Soft, passive, quiet, ok. But not athletic enough? The man is a beast, he just doesn't always rely or show it.

he did come as a great potential but now he doesnt even have the confidence to shoot the ball two possesions in a row.

don't know what happened to him here but his contribution is so minimal...

do you know how much he gets here?

No. I think the problem is is that he never fully recovered from his injury (maybe mentally too). Of course what do I know. He was once a NBA prospect and now... I am rooting for him though.

If you ask me, Roby should play for a season or so in division B team as a main go-to guy , it will make him a better player: it will force him to take responsibility/ boost his confidence .

Anyone have any news on him? Is he staying/gone in/from Haifa?
