Italy - England 19-23 in the 2nd round.

When you talk about "experience": a traditional team would have won this match, Italy still misses a lot, even if Mallet is doing a god job. Italy started with two losses, Ireland one week ago and the Rose today, but something is changing. Not only talking about Italy (I guess the Azzurri could "win" the Wooden Spoon once again, or at least to defeat Scotland): distances are decreasing, we already saw it in the last World Cup.

Yesterday I've been watching with some streaming Georgia-Romania: Georgia is growing in an amazing way, actually they are the 7th force in Europe (having passed the Oaks). They already deserved to win against Ireland at the WC (10-14, and Ireland is politically strong in rugby...): next week the 6 Nations will have a break. Well, it's a pity that it's not a 7 Nations, with Georgia in it. Actually, they are not so far from being a I Tier national team.

I think Wales is the leading contender to win the Six Nations this year... about Georgia.... I think IRB should create another competitions for tier II rugby nations such as Georgia, Romania, Russia and even Portugal and Spain... I think Six Nations should remain the way it is... even Argentina (2007 World Cup semi-finalist), a tier I rugby nation can't even join the tourney... I don't think tier II rugby nations have a chance either...

6 Nations must remain 6 Nations. Argentina can't play at home and it wouldn't be a good idea playing in Spain. Georgia before entering in 6 Nations must defeat Scotland, Ireland @ Lansdowne Road and France in France. (Italy of the 90s)
Wales is the best team this year. And they have the last game @ Millennium vs France. Italy can win at home against every team of the 6 Nations. We must find a fly half (Masi is a good center, but a center) and a goal kicker (Bortolussi, shame on you, even if David played well vs England). Travagli and Picone are good, in 2-3 years they will become good players. They never 'll be Troncon, but they 'll be good players. We must start to win matches, we are tired to lose playing well.

I agree with you... adding another team to the Six Nations would degrade the tournament... maybe another tournament for the Tier II Rugby Nations can help develop rugby in those countries... here in the Pacific... IRB set up a competition (Pacific Nations Cup) that includes Tier II nations such as Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and Japan plus New Zealand B Team (Juniors)...

Argentina for me is more suitable to join the Tri-Nations since South Africa, Australia and New Zealand are located in Southern Hemisphere... its probably easier to join the competition.... and will add new kind of rugby to the Tri-Nations tournament....

I think that Argentina may have actually benefited in the WC for not playing in a competition where top sides can get to know them. financially, though, they need to join up somewhere.

Actually some (or most) of the Argentinian players are playing club rugby in Europe... and that may have help Argentina to their most successful World Cup campign so far...

Scotland 15 England 9...
Its all ways good to stick it up the old enemy.
They will be winging for a while in England now.
2nd successive victory over England and they claimed the Calcutta Cup again..
Ha Ha...
