Felipe Reyes has gone to Spain to solve his neck problems. He'll be back in Estambul tomorrow.

we have better frontcourt, they have better backcourt...
rudy will be unstoppable for us.
spain are world and european champion and olympic vice champion, and much more experienced team then serbia.
this tournament is just second big competition for this serbian generation(average team age is 23).
so there is no doubt that spain is favorite, but we will fight, and let the better(serbia) win.:p
Greeks said the same :p

He is also a professor of basketball for Vranković but still Serbia needed last second free throw to win the game. How do you comment that?

last year Sacariole teched him how to swipe the rival in a final

anyone else sees the resemblance?

I don't see Serbia being better than 2009 so far. The only hope is that Spain is struggling a little bit. It might be a close game, but Serbia's win is a surprise for me (specially watching how Serbia looked against Croatia).

I also think Spain will win. Not so easily as in 2009, but they will win. So far Rubio is doing well against Teodosic, Marc(I can't call that guy Gasol as long as Pau is playing) can face Krstic and the key matchup could b at PF, because that's where Serbia has the advantage. If they fail 2 denefit from this, they have very little chances.
Spain has 2 increase the tempo of the game and seeing how they managed 2 run fast breaks against Greece while defending with a zone, I think they can do it. But a zone is not a good defensive choice here. What they have 2 do is keep Teodosic and Tepic out of the game(I know, Tepic can do it by himself too) and try 2 run.

Tepič with 23% 2pts and 26% 3pts and horrible decision making. One could say he will brake out, but that's pretty much his performance all season long. Teodosič if far from his best also so far. Rasič is the guy saves Serbia's ass in this tournament, but Spain's guards, having such player us Lull on the bench, will be too much, IMO. Serbia is not showing that "brake out" as some predicted before this WC so far and I don't see that happening in 1/4 also.

Tepic was used as SF all season long, while he is more effective with the ball in his hands. Rasic plays well, but I don't think Serbia will depend on him as much as on Teodosic. Plus, Rasic doesn't create with the ball in his hands, so I don't c him being the player who can change things in this game.

Spain obviously have the slight advantage. I think that the big difference will be with Serbia's inside players and their ability to split the ball outside to the open man. We suffered because of that last night v. Spain as Sofo is so one dimensional in his game and any positives he has are overshadowed by his negatives (eg. his inability to pass the ball outside when 3 men are on him, and his free throws). I believe that Spain's big guys can't compete with Krstic, Perovic etc however Serbia's success hinges on how Teodosic/Tepic play offensively & defensively IMO. Saying all this however, if the refereeing is similar to the Spain v. Greece game Spain will obviously beat Serbia. Lets just hope that the referees are less obvious with their subjectivity this time. Go Serbia!

The number of assists doesn't prove anything. Look at the boxscore of each game. He gave 8 assists vs Jordan(very weak opponent) and 5 assists vs Germany when Teodosic was suspended. That means he averaged 2 apg in the rest of the games, a similar average 2 Navarro(who plays in the same position 4 Spain, that's why I mentioned him). Rasic has distinguished himself 4 his 3p percentages and his contribution yesterday at the end of the game.
And while he is playing well until now, u just agreed with me that your team will rely on Teodosic when things get tough(and they r tough against Spain).

Different players always step up for us its hard to scouting our team that's the strength of our team long bench. I am sure we are going to win against Spain . Your boys should start to pack theirs stuff:cool:
