This Korean team have a hard time playing Japan in the Jones Cup...this time, I might say Japan can actually win against them!;)

sorry man but this game is a toss up. After 2 losses japan will definitely regroup. When youre coming off a loss its either you lose your confidence or learn from it. The japanese wont go this far and just die. Expect them to make adjustments and give the koreans hell. Another factor is the Koreans wont have a healthy center. Thats one less matchup woe for the japanese. This will be a very interesting match. How they contain each others shooters will be a future reference for aspiring coaches and students of the game.

Prehaps Japan will make me eat my words, but I doubt it. I don't expect them to hand the game over to the Koreans, but there's nothing in Japan's play that gives me optimism they can take this game. We'll see. I'll be the first to admit I'm wrong if Japan wins.

How would you consider a team to be elite if their best player is a 36 year old past prime player..we are not talking of a big man out here he is a wing player..

Kim Joo Sung recently said on isports-korea that this could be his last stint with the National team.

I guess it is time for the likes of Kim Jong-Kyu, Kim Seung-Won, Jang-Jaesok and even Lee Seung-Hyun to be inserted. While Ha Seung-Jin is becoming injury prone after a KBL season or after playing internationally.

Same goes for Moon who may not be around come 2013 and the likes of Ham Nu-Ri and Choi Bu Kyung will take the wings.

Really a paradigm shift for the Korean wings, as there are more and more athletic players on the wing as opposed to the generation of Kang Kul-Jong, Lee Kyu-Sup and others.

If not for the injuries of Bang Sung Yoon korea may not need to insert TJ Moon after all because they need that inside offensive presence Eric Sandrin can give..

This game could be close due to each team's familiarity with one another, meaning players know the opposing team's players and their tendencies as well as innate strengths and weaknesses.

Last time this two national teams met was the East Asian Championships where South Korea asserted their interior game against the Japanese with a 89-73 win.

Head coach Wiseman admitted earlier in an interview with NHK Sports that he sees this as a difficult close game.

While Hur Jae mildly concurs where Hur said in an interview with Arirang Sports that the Japanese are no easy opponents.

Sorry for my ignorance but when is this game exactly? I'm in Korea so Korean time zone please.

this is a tough game to call. i'll give a slight edge to the Koreans though. this i a must watch!

The Japanese playing with more urgency this time after Korea took on a 8-2 lead but the Japanese clawed back to cut the deficit 15-8.

Ha Seung Jin is playing injured.

South Korea leads 23-11. Moon connecting with his outside shots by going 3/4.

Cho Sung-Min connecting with consecutive threes. 28-16 KOR.

I think Japan should play more of an inside game.. who is guarding Jarod? hows Takuya doin?

SK will win this one. To much for Japan to handle. Japanese are really low this time with 2 consecutive loses after starting the tournament with 4 straight wins.

Good luck to Japan, I hope you bounce back from your 2-straight losses and knock South Korea out! :D

Ishizaki is now guarding Moon after Kawamura and Amino failed to guard him. Kawamura is just standing around and waiting for the ball. Wiseman benched him for Sakurai.

36-18 KOR with under five minutes remaining in the 1st half.

I prefer a south korean win over japan..korea has at least a better chance to pull an upset against China..just like what jordan did to iran

Japan making a comeback. 50-38 KOR's lead is down with 7 minutes left in the 3rd Quarter.

Matsui and Park are having a shootout from long range. Matsui 3/4 while Park is 2/3.
