We already accomplished what we came for in Poland:)Now we can relax and try to grab one of the medals.Teo scored three and assist to Perovic when we were in a trouble. He's our closer.Tripkovic and Perovic were great today and Markovic was playing great defense. Only Tepic disappointed today. This is the great success for our young team.

nice fight from russia in the end. good job from blatt getting to this stage with not so talented team comparing even to thouse lost in second group stage.

I wouldn't count all of the Yugoslavian gold medals as Serbian.

Every medal from 1995 to the present time should be count as Serbia medals. Most of those teams were consist of Serbs and one or two Montenegrin player per squad.

Then I want the Soviet medals to be counted as Lithuanian. :P

And they are. But, as mentioned, there are only 3, not 8 medals in that period.

Nice game for us, if it weren't for that fall of concentration we would humiliate Russia. The biggest advantage for us in this match was, as our TV comentator said, that Duda trained a lot of Russian players and that he knows all their weaknesses.
Now we are in semis and everything is possible, but i wouldn't be too disapointed even if we finished fourth.

Exactly. So Serbia has 3 EuroBasket gold medals, not 8.

You deserve them more than Russia thats for sure!

I am so happy coz we finally managed to qualify in Semis in some serious tournament...

The bad conotation of this game is that Velickovic and Bjelica got injured...Lets hope thats nothing serious at least...

Well, thanks for that, but still... I think all the medals won in the cold war era should remain just Soviet and Yugoslavian... It's sad though, both of our nations could have many more medals now...

Bjelica seemed alright.Duda didn't want to risk later.

I only saw the first half, but what I saw was that Serbia had their big run with Markovic at PG, while Paunic did a good job in pressing the PGs too. Actually it was the non-starters that earned the big lead.

Wow, kids have reach the semis. I will support them against Slovenia and if they can reach to final half of them will go to nba in couple of years.

Yeah Markovic and Paunic played great defense in the second quarter and they were responsible for our big lead but in the fourth quarter Teo scored three pointer and assist to Perovic when Russians tried to come back in the last quarter.

I imagine, what this Serbian team will be like in 2-3 years. I think they should be the main favorite to win gold in EC11. It looks like it was a very good idea to bring together such a young team.
