Don't overreacted, he didn't say there will be an easy game for Serbia! He just compared the difficulty levels of these teams matches.. We precisely hungy as Serbs, but the distinctive thing is, Serbs show their determination when they won over 2 solid team!
There are concept of determination, one is like Turkey's wins over France,Greece or Slovenia.. Even in last minutes our players didn't give any easy shot for opponent!
There is an other determination concept which we've seen from Serbia in that tournament..Serbia won over Spain at the very last 3 seconds!
That is the point! And we'll all enjoy this semi final match

Great game by Turkey, everyone on the wings of the crowd, Slovenia couldn't do anything, after that 10:6 lead. At the begining the Turks came out hot, but we responded well, then they came back, we responded even better, but they just kept coming and coming, making that shots and forced Slovenia to play all-in. But the shots didn't go in, the centers got lost occasionally (now really missing Smodis and Lorbek) while Turkey playing good defence and maintaining high percentage of made shots. This type of games often reach ridiculous win margin, as the other team just sort of goes numb, but I also think this team reached its potential already by qualifying up to here. Of course we would do better against anybody else than frenzy Turks and individually unstoppable USA, but as I said, we belong from 5-8th.
I wouldn't be surprised if we crush Spain now
Our guys have some apologizing to do and the pressure is of them, while the Spaniards didn't play that bad and might just not be mentally in for it anymore? Total speculation alert!

Turkish team's players, seem to be rather willing to play a (very...) good game of bball, than "fight like there's no tomorrow" (much like the Serbians do). And I actually like that. Their mentality seems to be a "noble" one. While the one of the Serbs...........well, one only has to pay attention to the faces and body language in general of e.g. Keselj and Teodosic.
We'll see how such a match-up will advance soon enough anwyay.

It seems our guys were satisfied enough being in the 1/4 finals...

Our defense was pure undistilled dog crap. Our guys were not aggressive at all, turkey from the first 11 3pt shots they took 10 were open with no defender even remotely close. And WTF was up with the Zone is Becirovic sane?
Anyway the guys were happy to be there and it showed and it was enough for them. I am still happy we made it this far, i never though that we could without Lorbek and Udrih. We are gonna lose the next against Spain and win the game for 7th palce against Russia, so Yey for us lol.
I will be cheering my hear out for Serbia against Turkey though

It is going to be very easy win aganist Slovenia. Turkish team has superb performans so far. 15.000 Turkish basketball fun also support their team crayz way. As a result ,it will be more easy then Greek game.

turkey is a good team but serbia in my opinion is better, the only way turkey can win serbia is by having these precentages they had today which is impposible to recreate against a good defending team like serbia. and for serbia to win they will need to play an inside game because in my opinion it is turkeys weakest link plus the occaisional killer threes which in my opinion killed spain..it is 65-35 for serbia.....but im routing for turkey to make a surprise

well said my friend but most of your countrymen actually believed our defense would be inferior against your guards, claiming the only ace up our sleeves is our zone defense.. well i wrote back then our defense no matter what zone or 1on1 is good and it wont be an easy game for slovenia but they somehow underestimated the quality of our defense.. and look how it turned out.. as i said i proud of my team and i am proud that whoever their opponent is they give their best game..

I think because Turkey has home advantage,that swings my scales...
I always go with underdogs...
I still do not like Serbian acting and i especially do not like teodosic,sorry Serbian fans,for his "it wasn't me,he pushed me first" face.He is a great talent,beautiful player to watch untill TV close up comes up...But other than that,sheer talent of your young players and today's excellent game ...
To Turkish fans -if you play Usa in finals,and it is very likely,you will be the team i support

No man, enjoy it, you have totally earned it, I feel like we have stumbled into a mental ambush. I knew you guys play great bb at home since at least Kutluay days, but this today was really a team effort domination. Respect to Tanjevic and best luck in further stages.
Everybody here in Slovenia now realizes that this team was an offensive one that got stopped in its tracks and could do nothing with disoriented defense, unlike Zdovc's team that played defensive bb and builded up from there. So opinions on this team on slo forums changed quite dramatically now, but I feel the problem is that people don't seem to understand that every game is a story for itself. I bet if we'd play Australia tomorrow again it'd be a really close game, a week ago we just mentally overpowered them with constant barrage of shots made, while they were soon trailing and kept missing the easy baskets. We were overpowered today the same way and against imaginary Aussie game tomorrow we would lack what you are flying high now on. Team confidence and religious motive to come out the best.

well my friend.. thanks.. we are over happy because we won but also we won against slovenia.. slovenia is highly respected in turkish basketball (nachbar and vidmar play in turkey for example) and such a clear win means a lot to us.. turkey's and turkish basketball's main weak point was the level confidence and that kind of spirit that they can actually play against the big teams.. now they have it.. they have been playing wonderful, self confident.. i hope they carry it to the game against serbia..
