Ramos in the KBL

Ramos in the KBL

Peter John Ramos will be playing for the Seoul Samsung Thunder in the Korean Basketball League for the KBL 2011-2012 Season.

Basketball seems to be getting very popular in China, South Korea and I think Japan also. I also read somewhere that salaries in China are very attractive. Maybe that means that those leagues will be improving in the quality of the game in the coming years. I didn't even know that there was a professional league in Korea.

there are professional leagues of everythin in Korea.
did you know Korea has a professional StarCraft league?

El ruso, there is profesional league, almost in every country in this globe. Imagine, that even China (a communist country) have a profesional league.

Why Alex Galindo dont try Europe? It would be better for him.

China isn't really communist and I don't see how a communist country cannot have a professional league. BTW you are 16 years late with that comment.

This is the Korean starcraft league. I vaguely remember Korea always dominating at those video game/arcade world championships.

To return to topic (sort of), Chinese media is reporting a foreign coach will coach a women's club team (Liaoning) this season. The report claims that the unnamed coach is currently coaching the Panama's Men's NT until August. My Google attempt revealed a Puerto Rican name David Rosario, not sure if that's the person.

what happens Sinoball is that Cardenales is probably assuming that China follows the Cuban sport module were they don't allow professional leagues b/c they say that professional leagues contribute to spread imperialism and that players should play for the love of the game and not for money and that being an athlete is not a profession but something you do as a hobby. And since Puerto Rico is so close to Cuba geographically he probably thought that China was the same way.

and Socialism and Communism are not the same thing Cardenales;)

Sino pray to god (or what ever spiritual presence you or your religion believe in) that it is not Rosario the one that will coach your team, he is possibly the worst coach this Region. He could not even get the panamenian egos under control in 2009, and Panama seemed lost and with not much strategy in FIBA 2009, he also never ajust the theother coaches changes on the court

True communist countries dont allow profesional and not even private property. It is not allow. Now, I know that in China there is a profesional basketball league, China is now kind of limbo I guess, it is communist but also capitalist, which right now, I dont think they even know what they are. Still, it seems that is giving good results. I know, they have changes, but, I dont think they have get rid of the communism.

China, socialist???????? Probably, dont know, you could be right.

News about a foreign coach for China, David Rosario!!!!!!!!!!!!! This guy is really lucky, I dont like the way he coach. He is with Panama, and in my opinion have done a decent job. Now, if China wants to have good results, in my opinion David is not the answer.

It seems that Nathan Peavey is going to be out of the national team.

Thanks to the wonderful idea to play in the local league in the f'n summer!, when the national team is supposed to train for the upcoming pre-olympic tournament.

Why it is suppose to be are starting frontcourt, Vasallo, Peavey and Ramos, they are going to be out of Fiba Americas tournament. Things are getting ugly for us.

JJ Barea

Barea just had a big triple-double (the first ever for a Puerto Rican in the NBA?): 25 pts + 14 assists + 10 rebs to go along with 3 steals in a 2OT loss to the Thunder.
