Puerto Ricans in Europe

Puerto Ricans in Europe

So far Miguel Ali Berdiel at least offensively has done a good job in the Slovenian league scoring in the last three games 11, 18 and 6 points.

Merged

Guillermo Diaz 6-2 Italy Pepsi Caserta
Peter John Ramos 7-3 Spain Fuenlambrada
Sharif Fajarfdo 6-9 Hungary
Miguel Ali Berdiel 6-6 Slovenia
Jorge Brian Diaz 6-11 Spain

El Nuevo Dia one of the puertoricans newspapers says that they are two puertoricans playing in Slovenia (I know about one Miguel Ali Berdiel) and one playing in Rumania (I know that Javier Mojica played in Rumania last year but this year he is playing in Poland). Do any one knows about this? because I will like to know. Thank You.

Jorge Bryan Diaz In Spain? The Last Thing I Heard Was That He Had A Verbal Agreement With The Nebraska Cornhuskers. If Everything Goes Alright He Would Start Playing With Them In December.

Didnt Really Expect Santiago To Make The Roster, He Didnt Even Look Good At The Olympic Qualifying. Am Thinking That Mutombo Will Be Back With The Rockets. Carde Do You Have Any Idea When Bsnpr.com Will Be Back?

Hi zyx96, of Danny Santiago I was impress that he was invited to try out for the Rockets. Danny should stay playing in Europe til he can.

BSN season? Todays newspaper El Nuevo Dia, one of the team owners say that they are planning to start the season in April and ended in July. Now, thats problem because FIBA wants all the leagues been over by june. Finally, in my personal opinion we should start the league earlier, even in November and in October do friendly games with european and NBA teams.

The administration of the BSN does not have vision.

I Totally Agree With You Carde, Danny Should Basically Focus On Playing In Europe Since He Has Still A Few Good Years Left. Even If He Did Make An Nba Roster He Would Be Stuck On The Bench. As Long As The Bsn Season Starts So Late We Will Always Have Problems With The National Team. In My Opinion The National Team Should Always Be The First Priority. Its Sad That We Have Plenty Of Talent But Everything Is Rushed And The People In Charge Make Questionable Decisions At The Last Minute Because The Bsn Season Ends So Late.

Any news on Figueroa?

Santiago is still a good player. He was a valuable contributor to Milwuakee in the 03-04 (??) season. Unfortunately, he did look a little slow in qualifying games. I only saw him in internet clips, but he didn't look like he was in very "professional form."

What else is new?

zxy96, I think is time for the fans to act in the BSN. I agree as you said that the National Team should be the first priority in Puerto Rico so fans start protesting in BSN games of the league starting to late and start making your voice count. Everybody wants to see the national team performing at their best performance please lets give them a chance. National Team goes first.

I agree starting early would be the best. The problem then is that many "big" names wont show up du to bigger contracts with other leagues since the dates would be overlapping. But then the team manager and the BSN would probably loose money. In these people's mind money first, second and third, then bsn then national team.

"ante el billete no hay culo que se sujete"
in front of money there's no ass that wont shake. ( i know is double negative but that's the best translation in my view.

Its true, but the fans are important because are the ones that paid to watch the games. Its time to let the BSN knows that the national team goes first and that is time to see Puerto Rico winning medal in important tournaments like the olympics and World Cup.

Another thing, for players that are playing now in Europe is worthless for them to play in the BSN because they can get injuries and jeopard their careers. The number of puertorican playing in Europe is going to rise more in years to come. I said, dont expect that the europeans come to the BSN to save their season. BSN should go as an open league and the puertoricans that play in that season are going to level up their game in a way that they will be ready to represent the island in international play.

Another thing, players playing in BSN and Europe plus national team, this is to much basketball for a year. Injuries will occur plus this will end up their carreer faster because body gets burned out.

running the league from october-november would be ideal for the development of players. we cant expect oir players to perform for the national team when we have guys like Rosa Clemente, Bster Figueroa and others playing only 3 months a year, or guys like Pagan, Falcon, Villafane playing in the mexican league

I believe there is the money to play like the rest of the worl and keep most of the native talent except the Arroyo, Barea, Ayuso, Apodaca, Dalmau, Peter and Danny
