Many thanks for answering, Srle.

Also I worry for Bjelica he might be odd man out. He really played terrible so far and Ivkovic is very hard on him:( Bjelica is forcing the issue , he's trying too hard to score and create while in the process he's making lots of mistakes. He should play same like the last year in EC. Grabing the boards, helping on the defensive end and scoring easy points.
Yes, I understand what you're saying, because Bjelica was pretty bad in the game I saw. I think it's difficult to provide him a significant role in a structured and talented squad like this Serbian NT. Right now it seems like it's either he's the go-to player in the team (like in Red Star late this season) or a pure role player like in last year's Eurobasket. Indeed I have doubts about his ability to adjust to Caja Laboral next year.

Still, he's a very promising guy, and I have the feeling that the basketball minds and powers in Serbia, Ivkovic included, think very high of him for the future, so he might remain in the team for this reason alone.

LOL:D:D:D:D:D:D
what on earth are you two talking about??? Is it Mark you are talking for? My god people, he is good but not great....NOT EVEN TOP 10 in this tournament!!!!

Mate Gasol is having great seasons in NBA.And while he doesn't have the game of his brother,he has rare mobility for a 7''1 guy.Well he isn't anywhere close to Nene and maybe Splitter but who else is better than Marc?Bourousis is a really talented player but he has the flaws of the Greek basketball school. If he had moved to NBA and made similar numbers to Marc then I'll say he is that good or better.Or if he leads the fish(oly) to titles with big performances in the finals.

The final cuts for the roster of Team USA will be on the last days of August. Probably it will be:

Chauncy Billups
Lamar Odom
Tyson Chandler
Kevin Love
Kevin Durant
Andre Iguodala
Rajon Rondo
Derrick Rose
JaVale McGee
Rudy Gay
Stephen Curry
Jeff Green

Exactly . Another thing with Bjelica, everything happen too fast for him . Two years ago he was nobody playing in the Austrian league . In the last two years he made the big stride from unknown player he became one of the most wanted players in Europe. Especially this year he got drafted in the NBA , signed a new contract for the European power house , I can't blame him for looking bad in the preparation games so far. I don't think he's out yet there is 5,6 preparation games left before the final cut and remember he played poor in the preparation games last year but he stepped up in the tournament. I think he will make roster . Both him and Keselj are still green and we need depth on SF position. Another thing that bother me about Bjelica is his undefined position. I wish he was forced to play SF right away when he got to Red Star instead he played all three outside positions and spent lots of time as pg which was dumb to me. As SF he would have become good scorer and he would have advantage over the most SF's due to his ball handling and mobility . I don't think he will never ever become a big scorer in his career .

I don't agree here. Playing guard positions probably helps him to better develop his ballhandling skills to, precisely, take advantage of his superior mobility and skill level at the SF position. I guess they wanted to develop him in the mold of Bodiroga, for example, who played PG when he was young in Italy under Tanjevic's guidance (and even later in Madrid with Obradovic).

However, it's true that, in the short term, it might have been better for him to stick to the SF position, but that would have probably made him a more limited player down the road. In the end, the problem here is that he's likely moving too early to a European powerhouse. Treviso sounded like a better destination to me. But we'll see.

What's your point mate?

I think his point is irony.

Yes I guessed so too:D But to be honest,I really believe Bourousis is one of the most talented Greek players, just had the bad luck to be born in Greece:p He is the typical Greek player whose only target is to be a local celebrity. If he had better mentality and work ethic he should be now in the NBA and at the same level as Garbajosa in his prime or even better.

EL Final isn't good enough? or has to be sign to pao to become better?
PS: I have nothing to do with olympiakos neither I support them.

All right, so Bourousis main goal is to be local celebrity.
What a pile of CRAP

I would say that Bourousis goal is to have a good-looking local celebrity as girlfriend ;)

This is included in his contract. Two local (or one international )celebrity per year and a couple of cheerleaders as bonus:D

So you believe that Bourousis has worked really hard and he has become the best player possible out of his talent right?Maybe yes he just forgot at all the weight-lifting training ;)

Bourousis apparently has worked really hard and he is improving his game year after year .That's a fact.

Weight lifting ? Do you mean he is not muscular enough for your taste? That's the quality he is lacking?

The game that he lost by 18 where barça centers ate him?

We are taking it a bit too far and it's off-topic,so sorry to the other guys that are not interested.Mate what's your opinion,do you believe that his physical condition and athletic skills are the best possible?I'm talking mostly about body strenght because it's an aspect that almost everybody can improve it if they train hard,it's not a matter of talent.Look for example Garbajosa,he isn't blessed with great athletic abilities but he is hard as rock;).

And in general,Bourousis really looked like he was working hard and improving his game until 2 years ago, when he signed his new contract with oly and rejected NBA.That time he looked like really he could have a shot there. And as everybody knows,if you go to the NBA you may not play too much in the begining(although experienced Euro players like Scola,Andersen,Navarro and so didn't have any problem) but if you work hard there you can improve at least 2 levels.

Bourousis refused to go to the USA and I hoped that he made this decision in order to work hard in Europe and go there in 2-3 years when he will be 100% ready. But after that what??Do you see any significant improvement of his the last 2 years? Both athletically and mentally, none at all. That's the problem with Greek players, not that they don't work at all,at least they work more than our footballers, but they work until a point, they can't go to the next level and that's a big pity...
