What guys you think about this game? Lithuania have chance to win without Songaila and maybe Kleiza?

I hope they do! If the US team can beat Lithuania after having played a game yesterday I'll start panicking.

To win - no. I guess we will lose ~20-30pts today, smth like 110:85 :) IMO long trip, aclimatization will still affect our players

at least the good part is that the USA allowed 74 points in vs Turkey, stopping the US scoring machine might be a differened matter!

Lithuania better have the Jaskevicous-Kaukenas-Siskauskas chemistry going........and a backup for Saras at point guard, as he's not going to be able to hang in there for 40 minutes........and I believe this is the 1st Olympics that Lithuania does'nt have a big 7 footer to clog up the middle....,perhaps a emergency phone call to Big Z might be in order???

Exhibition game, so the interest is mainly on how steady will the Liths be and how good the US defense will be as well. Key game for conclusions on the US maturity. If they win big, then they will probably think they are very good, becoming thus arrogant, something good for the opponents

Lithuania is pretty unstable so far. Unfortunately, I can not watch the game to note my conclusions on both elite teams..

I think they have more than enough good players at their frontcourt to make emergency phone calls unnecessary. And let's not forget that either R.Javtokas, K.Lavrinovic or D.Lavrinovic are still taller than... let's say... Dwight Howard.

I hope Lith gives USA a good game behind the perimeter line...They (US) need to get this through their head that this will be a threat in the Olympics. I am really, really interested in seeing how LB does in this game.

USA turning this game into a training drill already and it is not even half way through the first quarter

This is going to get pretty messy by the looks of it

USA 25-5 in the first quarter lol!!!

Lithuania not giving up yet, been an equal game since 24:5, will see if USA can break the lead seriously open on third.

Nice first half by the US. We saw what happens when the US cool down on Defense - they need to keep it up the entire game.

first half score?

Jasikevicus making too many mistakes hence why the big early lead. Without him we are playing well. US has not really pulled away from LTU in the first half although the lead by 17. US playing rough with lots of fouling some not called.

US won second half by 1pt.

The game seems to be a yankee show with all the hype at the stadium and is in true form of a friendly.

HT SCORE: US 56-LTU 39

LOL, you think any other Lith guard could've stood up to US defence? :D

Btw, nice posterization of Maciulis by Wade.

What I see from this and Turkey game, that pessimists who forecasted tough defence by European teams, are wrong. No defense can deal with US, but the question remains, if Spain or Greece can match with the offense?

EDIT: Lithuania is hitting 3-point shots brilliantly, but they're still powerless, that's the big difference with 2004 games.

The US weathered Lithuania's run to start the 3rd, and has pretty much put it away.
