Players that we can have naturalized

also we might want to get a guy who can play professionally in a Philippine club (maybe Alab or PBA import) so SBP won't have to shell out so much

That's why I don't get the whole issue with not letting naturalized players play in the local leagues. We go out of our way to make the "Filipino Citizens" yet we deprive them of the chance to play in "their own country". Why not at least give them a slot per team? Won't having multiple naturalized players be a better thing for us since we have a pool to choose from depending on our needs? Or are we too scared of letting them play because they would take up the place of an otherwise mediocre player who will lose his spot? It may sound harsh, but in sports, shouldn't the best be allowed to play? Or do we put racial bias over assumed constitutional rights? Food for thought.

That's one of the changes the PBA has to make IMO. Imagine if we allow naturalized Pinoys in the PBA, even if we only give them 1 slot per team, that's 12 players in the pool right away if all teams get one

Douthit and Blatche, somehow this players are just below 35 years old but somehow parang 45 years old, what are we giving these guys that they dont think anymore of their careers long term?

Most players dont get to play in there forties. Theyre just normal

This is having an offseason having a negative effect on them, too much recovery food

I believe this setup is now used in the Japan pro league, that is why they have a bunch of naturalized players now.
They allow at least 1 NP per team.

PBA should do the same and scrap the height limit.
We want to compete in the world stage but we put height limit in the pro league reinforcements.
That's why our NT players always have difficulty matching toe to toe with tall and talented players in FIBA tournaments.

You didnt knew how much mvp paid just to get Douthit and Balcthe to be naturalized..

Do you think our naturalized players should learn to speak Filipino??? I don't think they can even sing our national anthem heheh

that's why we need to open up ther PBA to naturalized players. SBP can pay less to the player b/c he can earn salary playing here.

True. These policies persist b/c the PBA is run by isolationist dinosaurs

im actually ok to add an additional slot for foreigners who studied and finished studying in the PH. and no height limit with imports. force locals to play better.

There's been a lot of them since Ekwe. Too bad NCAA banned the foreigners. Now we have Kouame.
