Lol @ Boldens game, we really need standhardinger to be a local:cool:

problematic talaga. We would need a lot of tall, athletic players just to be competitive enough.Just Imagine Thon Maker (C),Ben Simmons (SF) and Jonah Bolden (PF) playing at the same time plus Dante Exum playing the point position.

And we really dont like the styel of australia, they like 5 chris ross on the floor, and the typical ddo won't cut against them..

Another bad thing is one major injury to japeth aguilar during home and away games, we will be doomed against the ausies haha. In our locals he is the only one i can think of that can match up athletically a bit to simmons, maker and bolden.

Usual antidote to guys like this (except for tall and athletic players) is a Luis Scola-type player who can create/score from the mid to high post and can expose the undisciplined defense and put them in foul trouble. Rare nowadays, tho.

Kamaka hepa. I doubt FIBA is changing rules anytime soon so getting Hepa is a must. Since he will be looked as anaturalized player, sbp should talk to the father to get the passport rolling then we'll figure out how to add him in once the oportunity comes.

yup , working on it.. Kamaka's dad Roland is very accommodating and keen. At least we have a definitive target which is the U18 FIBA Asia, no other reasonble cadidate fits the situation. (so yes there is indeed a need, this isn't just an additional option but the only u18 candidate who fits)

and who knows he in the future thru exceptions he may eventually be classified as natural born

Is it allowed to have anaturaluzed player even at youth level? Kamaka actually is an ineligible Filipino by virtue of Hagop rule but can be masquerade as our naturalized player. No need for naturalization process sinve from.all intent and purposes , he is a Filipino by blood.

Looking forward to next year's FIBA ASIA u18 and hopefully FIBA Worlds U19. exciting times! Btw any info on possible inclusion of Harper Jr and Jeron Artest? TIA!

Hepa is good but I'd rather see the naturalized player spot go to our resident starting center (The successors of Kuya Marcus and Dray) in the most crucial tournaments. Unless KH can be that guy.

another video from Alec Brown. His outside shooting looks great,I hope he could have an equally good post up game.

"Speak it into existence"

10 years from now we will never need to naturalize a player anymore!

we still need, but not a big man anymore, maybe our weak spot by then is in the non bansot SF or SG or PG. The nba caliber ineligible fil fors will fill this need.

no need, if because of Gilas' popularity and honor to play for, all our future nba caliber fil fors would have secured their Gilas eligibility even before age 16. Or if Hagop rule was amended, Or if most of homegrown players were of nba caliber

The level of assistance from the SBP to secure a Philippine passport is dependent on priority and needs, of course the word is already out to secure your passport by 16 yrs old. But extra assistance for facilitation will only be offered to players identified as needed the most (mostly big men) and of course their willingness and interest to play for the Philippines. (if a family and player doesn't even want to visit the Philippines , medyo Malabo yata yun)

Are not these two kids, priority? Asido from pedigree, what these kids can bring is the height and length at the backcourt. Asido from the two, Eli Ramos should be pursued also as well are Laput and Millora-Brown for our naturalized uneligible pool to add to Kamaka Hepa and Christian Standhardinger. I think by 2018 , Laput will be available already.

Western Kentucky 5 star freshman Mitchell Robinson is a good candidate , 18 years old 7ft with a ridiculous wingspan.
