The Phoenix Suns and Head Coach Alvin Gentry have completed a contract extension deal with Gentry signing an extension through-out the 2012-2013 Season.

Rumor has it that the Phoenix Suns are interested in trading for Jamal Crawford of the Atlanta Hawks.

I'd LOVE to see Jamal playing for the Suns. :)

Btw, where did u get ur info from?

It all depends on whether Bynum, Artest (yes he did make the game winning shot, but he shot 2-9), and the bench decides that they want to win even half as much as Kobe does. We all know Kobe can't be stopped against the Suns.

Happy 38th Birthday Grant Hill. :)

Anyways, Hill is on the last year of his contract. I wonder what the future holds for him as the Phoenix Suns might not be interested in re-committing on a contract next year. Maybe a contender next year could sign him. Anyways, at 38, he is in great shape and looks like not settling anytime soon. 2 years more perhaps.

Well he did not want a championship by staying with the Suns so i guess another 1-2 years in limited minutes is in story. Just fade away into the horizon...

Happy Birthday Grant :)!
I do believe that the only reason he's still playing is to compensate for all those lost seasons during which he was injured and that's also why he's still in great shape after having played just 200 games over a span of 6 years (Basically his time with the Magic from the 2000-2001 season till 2006-2007 season and thus averaging around 33 games per season during that time)

Free Agent center Erick Dampier has visited the Phoenix Suns and is scheduled for a work-out this weekend.

Phoenix Suns Head Coach Alvin Gentry is impressed with the performance of newly acquired forward / guard Josh Childress. That he plans to "Play him (Childress) in 3 positions".

That said and quoted, I think Childress will be playing the SG, SF and a little bit of PG or PF for the Phoenix Suns' patented quick ball.

The Phoenix Suns have waived veteran guard Chucky Atkins.

This could be it for Atkins I think, as the guard who once played for the following teams over the years:

Lacrosse Bobcats 96-97
Cibona Zagreb 97-99
Orlando Magic 99-00
Detroit Pistons 00-04
Boston Celtics 04
Los Angeles Lakers 04-05
Washington Wizards 05-06
Memphis Grizzlies 06-07
Denver Nuggets 07-09
Oklahoma City Thunder 09
Detroit Pistons 2009-2010

It is sad that he was traded away from Detroit in 2004; thus not being a membership of the Detroit Pistons 2003-2004 Championship team.

After a couple of pre-season games, the Phoenix Suns' first flaw was rebounding. On a loss to the Jazz tonight, Phoenix was out-rebounded 51-34 and gave up 15 offensive rebounds.

Hopefully Robin Lopez and Hakim Warrick would rebound more.

Phoenix is really missing Amare's rebounding.

True. Stoudemire brought the points and rebounds to the team. From the span of four years, Nash and Stoudemire's two man game carried the Suns and what has become of the team's most executed play.

Nash himself admits that "It will take time to adjust".

Phoenix Suns guard / forward Josh Childress maybe out for 3-5 weeks depending on the rate of healing by his fractured Right Index Finger.

Very unfortunate, as Childress is one of the key acquisitions made by the Suns this off-season.

Get well soon Josh, the Suns need you.

Definitely hurts. Now they only have Grant Hill and Jason Richardson at that SG/SF spot. Maybe Turkoglu will spend a lot of time at SF until Childress comes back.

i love Nash but his pride and stupidity brought him here--- he had the chance not to extend and sign with a real contender. i respect he wants to be loyal and all but this is not what i envisioned him to be latter in his career--- playing for a mediocre team and fading into the horizon as his career ends. Oh well. Too bad too bad...

Nash growing unhappy in Phoenix?

Nash growing unhappy in Phoenix?

Phoenix Suns star Steve Nash made critical comments about what he thinks of the Suns' chances this upcoming season. Nash was quoted with an interview with AZ Central:

"To be honest, if I was outside this picture and a betting man, I would probably pick us to be outside of the playoffs considering all the changes and the new guys."

"It's hard as a competitor to convince yourself every day all summer and then through the preseason that you're going to get back to where you were and hopefully take the next step, and then you realize that camp is starting all over again and it's not quite as linear as you made it out to yourself all summer."

"We're small. We don't really have a classic four. We've got to overcome that in a lot of different ways and that takes a lot of time, chemistry and understanding. We're not going to have that at this point in the season."
