Funny enough I think we have a chance against Italy.

1. Italys bigs seem to be finesse bigs. Theyll be cooked by Edu
2. Italy doesnt have the same length as Angola so JC is gonna cook

We will have a chance like against DR. But I think it comes down again to more playmaking outside JC. CJ had a decent game today. I hope he does even better against Italy.

Doesn't really matter how built your players are, these guys aren't programmed to beat any competition stronger than SEA games. Italy will give gilas a spanking

We have RJ Abarrientos if we wanna play midgets, I'm wondering why the dude was never even invited in the practice pool. Could've been a good 12th man in situations like that Angola game where they were torching the living shit out of Chot outside the arch instead of Pogoy or Kiefer, RJ can't defend for shit but he has as good of playmaking as Kiefer and is way more sureball than Pogoy, also a very good iso player.

Can't base in on that, there's fog of war early in the competition, I'm sure gilas's weakness is much more glaring now to Italian scouts after Angola and DR

Yes. But I think Chot favors Kiefer. Also, SMC favors Scottie. RJ and probably to a bigger extent Bollick wouldve been a big threat to Kiefer and Scottie. Bollick is not as good at D as Scottie but he is a proven performer in the WC and is a much better creator.

Say what you want about Yeng but he chose the best young guards for the WC. And he was proven right with the two. But Chot and SMC have their favorites. It is only a few weeks ago that Chot realized the need to develop CJ as a PG when Tab has been doing that since day 1.

Bolick can score in bunches and isn't afraid to shoot. He's also a better playmaker than most realize but I guess they prefer the face of the PBA than some guys who left the PH. RJ too is a bit active on Socmed criticizing certain orgs so you know they'll never invite him.

If SMC will handle SBP, I can see RJ being included in the program as he has more connections with the SMC group than with the MVP group, Abando will be a fixture too as he is part of the Super friends Letran team , Scottie is not good as the primary playmaker as in GInebra it still Tenorio who plays that role, plus Coach Tim's system do not rely on a single playmaker but multiple playmakers , he is good in dishing extra passes but not setting up the entire play and plays better with a non ball dominant guy that is why him and pringle do not works as effectively as with him and tenorio
 
Who are the players for Italy to watch for? Gilas will definitely go all out in this game.

I read Gilas needs to beat Italy by 13 points and hope Angola loses to DR for them to advance in the next round.
 
I just dont want to see even a second of zone defense. Just my only wish list.
