Chot underachieve in 2007, pinaki alaman si toroman nung 2011, he was successful in 2013 and good perfomance nung 2014 world cup, disaster result in 2014 asian games nagshoot pa sa kalaban.... Tab successful stint in 2015 despite having old players, good performance naman nung OQT despite that nakabalik parin si chot... 2017 another disaster performance last asian cup... Good performance naman nung fiba world cup qualifiers but brawl happened which he failed to control his players. Tab is doing well with our young players we beat sokor twice with college players! We are doing good the program is set then this happen again chot is back again lintikkkkkkkkkkkk paano nangyari yan despite so many mistake in the past?

Let’s see.. he’s a loyal soldier of chot.. same as abueva… I’m disappointed because as a tnt fan, I hope that sbp/mvp didn’t change personnel because tnt needs chot.. now tnt will back in square one

Robert set aside mo muna yang TNT, Gilas and National interest is most important in here

Also, no need for Abueva for fock sake

Anyways, it's done. I just posted this in an FB comment section:

"Pambihira, but yeah, sige. However, I hope Chot learned his lessons and rectified mistakes in international ball. A few things sana:

1. Focus on defense. That's how we beat SoKor.

2. Don't change the offensive system that Tab had (na may dribble-drive elements, pero kayang mag-counter sa sona via ball movement). The assistants should teach Chot, not Chot forcing his system.

3. No 6'1"-6'3" players at the 3, unless si Thirdy, tapos ganun din ang size ng opposing 3. Otherwise, general rule should be Navarro, Oftana, Dwight, Baltazar, Tamayo at 3. Hindi small-ball ang 3-guard lineups.

4. Continue developing the kids for the WC windows. PBA players should be there only for the FIBA Asia Cup and the WC proper.

5. Prepare at least two months before the FIBA Asia Cup and the WC."

I really hope Chot follows my suggestions, kahit malabo.

Again, I really hope Chot follows this plan. Otherwise, we're fucked. Not just now, but for the future.

So kai will get Dray's role. Screen setter then pop, wait for kickout pass, then fake and drive. Look for outside open shooters to pass or shoot the ball. The other big man will wait for drop pass. :D

I’m actually curious to see how Chot will use Kai as the centerpiece on his offense ala Dray role, this is interesting to say the least

Chot is a one and done guy so you better get the fuck out of the PH if you want a shot at a Gilas slot.

Development was Tab's specialty. Chot sucks at this.

We won't see any U20 player in this team unless he or she is Jordan Clarkson level or beyond.

Hey SBP, you know what helps development? Giving these boys an experience in the world stage.

he is no longer fit to coach Gilas. his plays are well-scouted by other countries. his defensive strats are terrible. his player selection is also terrible as sh*t. can CBC do what Navarro did in defense and hustle? can Troy replicate what Tamayo and Baltazar did during their short tenure? I would rather have Go and Geo who knows to position themselves than having Junemar, who is slow and a horrible defender. Chook-to-Go 2.0 na naman ito.

Tamayo and Baltazar has made more 3 point FGs in two games in OQT than Troy in 5 games at the World Cup. There should be no way he gets priority over the two of them. Not after his horrendous performance last time.

They are the only ones I think among non pba players who will get a sure slot for 2023.

Even Kouame is in danger. JC fits more Coach Chot system

Now the other 6 spots will probably pba players playing in pba (like Pogoy, troy, bolick, etc) or b league ( like Kiefer and Rayray)

Its not like Tab was great at keeping players, he lost both Dwight and Heading while Bulanadi and Suerte want out.

Actually, that's of little concern to me, compared to tactical and roster changes. Sana minor tweaks lang, because for this window, development is the priority, even if we have to take L's to the chin. At least the players will have the experience.

because of pandemic coupled with misplaced quarantine restrictions. that's why the pool was stucked. travelling abroad is no longer what it used to be. if tab handled this team pre-pandemic, this gilas team would have tons of exhibition/tune-up games.

Parks don’t even want to play for Chot in TNT, and judging by his interview with Eala, he will join Gilas if Baldwin is at the helm, but sadly not anymore

Alam ko sya din advanced scout ng centennial team nuon, at di nya iniscout ang South Korea. Ayun! Built to beat for China pa naman ang Centennial Team nuon.

The transition from swing to dribble drive.

Let's see.

Hopefully, Coach Chot add some variations in his Dribble drive.

As a filipino. I will still support them

Hope for the best na lang

Wonderful. The top Filipino import in the B. League won't able to play for Gilas.

The point is if Chot isnt good at getting the talent available, well Tab had the same problem.

but atleast, we have an assurance that tab will develop his players to their fullest potential. you give him young guns and he will turn them up to a good squad just like what he did in clark and in belgrade, even amman. look at balti, in la salle, he was shying away from hitting the threes. puro midrange lang. but look after a few months with tab - he is confident three point shooter, with nice handles for a bigman and good perimeter defense.

we even saw how he transformed a group of old players into a silver medalists.

can we say the same thing with chot? taga-kain lang naman yun.
