KQ is full blooded local.. so no one can prevent him... QMB case is different.. B league rules are strict to that players who are not local born in Asia.. Adams, Parks, Wright, Slaughter played first in Gilas before getting a contract in B league..

point is sbp won’t prevent QMB if he decides to play in foreign leagues

but yeah needs to play for gilas before that to happen.. kind of similar with tuffin.. wants to play for b.league but some issues prevent that to happen and it’s not pba related..

But I'm sure Long hair will prevent him, he wants him to be in the PBA to be with Ginebra.. You know what I mean!!!

Weird that Alvano who is "full-blooded" Filipino is ineligible to play with Gilas but someone like Roosevelt Adams can.

It's not about blood but citizenship. Even KBL's semi racist rule works on citizenship. It's probably written so that both parents were either citizens or former citizens of the qualified country. But we know the main reason is taking out the hafus.

Nz's vodanovich has shown that the pinoy nt needs a pippen-class forward about 6'7 to stop volume-shooting small forwards. Amos and tamayo are too slow for that. Wasting the slot on another np doesnt make sense. A highly athletic, explosive defensive specialiast filfor with local pinoy citizenship is needed.

The bigs issue is not so bad today. Kai, fajardo, qmb, kouame and edu form a powerful and young enough rotation for beyond-asian battles for the next 3 years.

Heading and oftana can he our volune slhooting specialists.

Seriously though, do we have the player that can replace Newsome once he retires?

Let's see after he deals with the retirements of JB, Newsome, and June Mar.

I think we are just going to get better from the retirement of JMF, JB.

The GOAT is just literally a backup to Kai right now (although they do play together in court, Kai looks like our main center already). Well, age does matter. QMB might be an upgrade if we are talking right now, obviously career-wise it is not even a debate. As per JB, as magical as he is, we can always find a caliber-import like he has, or maybe even better.

But like I said, it is Newsome who I don't have an idea whom can replace him.

si zeinab, if local alec stockton...schonny is an inch shorter but maybe has potential

What is Schonny's official PBA measured height? I thought he is 6'3-6'4ish? He can't be shorter than Newsome who is 6'2.

I dont think KQ will be a capable ball handler in the international level. I envision him as a better Larry Fonacier

Yep. A flashier version of Larry but with better handles and passing skills. KQ must sustain the improvement on his handles and three point shooting
