This is the main difference between Heading and Wright. Heading has a high percentage when open. But even if he does not score he does a lot of little things like play defense and pass. Wright is a bit suspect defensively and his shot is easily bothered internationally. Just looking at their moves you would think Heading has a more basic game. Not really speedy or flashy. But he is more effective. But it seems he is still recovering.
Wright is a better playmaker, actually. But yes, he's a poor defender and is not a good FIBA performer.
If Wright were developed and used as a dual-threat guard who can shoot and pass (which was his role with Phoenix), he might have performed better.
