Chants or songs. Like those in European football.

We need good lyricists for those, though. Hahahahahaha.

I agree on it Sir IPC, I hope you could be the voice if given a chance on those people involved in the UAAP league to somehow stop that ear shattering drumbeat and come up with a better gimmickry.

thank you.

We still need the drums, man. Other nations use ear-shattering noises too. I remember Lithuanian fans bringing drums to the World Cup last year. There are even fireworks displays in European stadiums.

IIRC You’re a Madridista.

Maybe create lyrics based off their anthem?

Yeah, that's pretty good. The Bulls often use that song in the 4th quarter when they play at home.

Unfortunately we dont have a local song that embodies the pinoy sports identity (jusko not Spongecola's Puso, Rivermaya's Possible reeks of mediocrity)

Liwanag sa Dilim?

That was huge back in '05.

OT: Spongecola's Puso was played after the filipinas won over nzl.. When Sarina scored the goal, bamboo's noypi was played..

Serbian and lithuanian pro clubs are the best fans.. specially serbian clubs.. flares are allowed inside and big banners

OT also

My condo is next to the Rizal memorial coliseum (i just look outside the window to watch games), the usual playlist during futbol games are: Puso (Sponge Cola), Bebot (BEP), PBB Theme (orange and lemons), Noypi (Bamboo), Sugod (Sandwich),Alab ng Puso and Posible (Rivermaya) and Sige Lang (Quest)

oh well, as much as we want to make it more subtle to avoid any ear shattering noises, it's still difficult to control the momentum of the drumbeat especially if the other school's shouting became louder and noisier..the main mission really is to out-voice or out loud(if there's a word for that, hehehehe) each other's side.

there's a lot of options really it just a matter of coming up with a better vibes on each game, maybe my ears was conditioned on how the US NCAA esp. during the March Madness where noise is also everywhere but not on the level of our UAAP and NCAA. mas solid sa lakas yung drumbeat ng college league natin eh.

as for the Lithuanian cheering squad, I think they only bring a small sets(?) not the jumbo size we sees during UAAP and NCAA games.

about the fireworks..man oh! man..it's a nightmare of a job on any Safety Officer hired inside the venue...the Ozone Disco tragedy is still fresh on everyone's consciousness esp. to those Batang 90's like me.

Again, for me Identity is the most important.

But if we're going to have a chant/battlecry/cheer...something to pump up the team in crucial moments of the game. Something along the line of Iceland's "Viking Clap" is cool...

It's always best to have a combination of percussions (drums, feet stomping, etc) then a chant to pump up a team.

Why make it too complicated just a simple chant something that masses can believe in their underdog team

I....I believe....I believe that........I believe that we..............I believe that we will win! I believethat we will win! I believe that we will win! I believe that we will win!

All you need is one man to start it with or without a mega horn.

Wild Take:

Nenad Vucinic will be our new coach.

He’s available and mukhang ayos naman sa PBA board.

The question is without the noise, who are the shorlisted names? Is it Tim, norman and Nenad?

As long as he toes the line,no praising of overseas guys or mentioned of Tab then he might be it.He could be their main assistant coach a sub for Tim when the PBA can't or won't reschedule.
