Seeing collins play.. he should be a local for us.. he is raw and will learn advance basketball skills here

Tuffin is looking like around 6'4-6'5. He looks like a couple of inches taller than Paul Lee. Paul Lee's official mesurement is 6'1 3/4. His height is also not far behind from Tony Bishop, which is listed at 6'6. Tuffin also looks hefty.

Taller and heftier version of Matthew Wright?

I think offensive skills wise, Wright is better than Tuffin (better shot creator, better ball handler), but I think when it comes to defense, Tuffin has the edge. It helps Tuffin that he is about 2 inches taller than Wright.

In his PBA career, Wright was the go-to-guy of among the locals of Phoenix. I don't think Tuffin has what it takes to become the go-to-guy of Phoenix or any PBA team. Tuffin has the makings of role player, a 3-and-D player.

Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Rizal Memorial, and Philsports Arena will be having the World Cup floorings

https://www.spin.ph/life/guide/fiba...ub9xtHLKu6-idXKoexFjri7ozUiF9NNhWRqLeLlPQ5HZs

On Wednesday, the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) formally turned over the floor used at the Mall of Asia Arena during the World Cup to the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) on a donation basis.

Although the formal turnover was done on Wednesday, the PSC has already installed the flooring at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in time for use for the 3x3 tournament of the Batang Pinoy-Philippine National Games.

SBP president Al Panlilio and PSC chairman Richard Bachmann held a turnover ceremony during the awarding of the medals in the BP-PNG.

The floor installed at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium was the same used in the final where Germany captured the Naismith Trophy with a victory over Serbia.

The floor was also used when Team USA, backstopped by NBA players, lot to Canada in the bronze-medal game.

The PSC said the two other floors used during the Fiba at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum and the Philippine Arena will soon be transferred to government-controlled venues Philsports Arena and the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

18 years old but first arrived here at age 16.

Oh noh!! Maybe another "sayang" player. Hope not.
We can still apply for FIBA exception, but iba pa rin talaga yung legit na passport before 16 compliance.

With Kai returning to action in a few weeks, do you think the SBP will tap him for the FIBA ACQ?

Sir I won't be surprise if he would not be invited because it's all about huge investment but very low ROI.

Due to lingering injury(s), club/other commitment, that's the possible content of those mainstream bias media in the very near future.

And also no need for guys like AJ or Kai to play in Asian qualifiers... They are playing against low ranked teams... They might get injured there... Just give those spots to guys like Chiu for exposure against inferior opponents...

Yes Sir I agree, despite having a dismal work rate during his last(?) season at Ateneo IMHO, I think the kid's deserved some international reps his decent work rate during the last FIBA-Asia Cup alongside Carl, KQ and Francis is still fresh in my mind.

We have to take care of AJ, Kai and even Kouame... They are all injure prone players, We don't have to sacrifice themselves just to win against minnow teams... Although because we don't have NP yet, I see Kouame will take over for now, As Brownlee still suspended.... Maybe Kouame will just play vs Taiwan, But no need for him to play vs Hong Kong... Give those young players to get some experience playing FIBA tournaments and let's see who will shine among them... Maybe Amos, Lopez, KQ, Escamis, Cortez will get the shot too...

Having read this sentiment of yours for weeks now, i gotta say that this grew on me. Yeah, we don't need to win, say by 30 or more, with a very strong line-up against a minnow 'cause a win will always be a win no matter the margin, and that is what's more important during a qualifiers event.

With the 1st window of the 2025 FIBA Asia qualifiers 2 months away, we are still in the dark as to who the players we are going to send, who our head coach will be & on how our team is going to prepare. Thanks to SBP for this. Talking about foresight that SBP badly needs.

Time flies so fast that before we realize it, the 1st window would just be 3 weeks away & yet everything is still uncertain.
