ideally, of course, it should be tab's developmental team with upgrades in the guard slots. but with the recent development concerning eligible fil-fors, and this humiliating loss to NZ, and add to that the expected lackluster finish in this coming asia cup, we all know where we are heading to now.

in the matter of Clarkson over Ange, I'd rather they play together with one of them being considered as a local. But if that's not really possible, I'd choose Clarkson over Ange and try my luck with Edu first as the latter's replacement before I choose any of the PBA bigs.

Agree with U on the last part bro. I'll go with Clarkson as our NP & let AJ Edu take Kouame's spot as Kai's reliever. Edu can even play as a 4.

Clsrkson definitely improves the strength of Gilas by a significant degree.
 
if we have JC over Kouame he should strictly play as a guard, as DR and NZL showed us, having an Abarrientos, Kiefer or Belangel defending the perimeter and pick and rolls is pretty much the road to blowout city. The small guys I feel have very very situational and limited uses and are pretty much death sentences in the world level, they can blitz slow Asian teams like Korea in certain moments but not much after that, they're slightly more useful in clutch situation but I'd get rid of that if it means not getting blownout by double digits, even a Castro or Romeo in this day and age I feel would only mitigate the blowout but still would end with an L. I really hope by the WC we can have a Parks-Ildefonso/Abando-Ramos-Clarkson-Kiefer rotation at the guard spot who can play the same role(but obviously bigger and more switchable) as SJ/RJ-Abando-Dwight did in the Korea tuneups which were pretty good on fastbreaks.

he can bounce around B.League. Taiwan is an option too.

TNT players again? Does he not have the patience to get the best players from other teams and get them to gel with each other. Think of the 30th SEA games...

and this is the reason many fans are pissed with Chot - he still insists his players despite their proven ineffectiveness inside the court.

Pogoy, Montalbo? Pogoy's become a liability on both ends in FIBA. Montalbo can't shoot that well, despite his effort on defense. Erram, I might take him for size alone if there are no other options.

Has Aj Edu started playing for his college again? How many minutes? How did he play? Until we know the answer to those questions we cant realistically expect him to play in the 2023 world cup. The only realistic defensive center for 2023 is Ange.

played last season in limited games.. toledo are cautious with him and have him shut down for conference playoffs..
 
Jordan Heading is our best point guard that is eligible under the FIBA Rules

he averaged 14.5 ppg, 3 apg, 1.5 spg against Serbia and Dominican republic

I dont even know if Parks is worth all the hoopla. He has games where he is sublime. But more of his games he plays like a role player. Even in the B league he would have scoring explosions but more often he is a utility guy. In Fiba we saw that Parks the utility guy is not enough. He is not as tall or as a good defender as Gabe that he can be possum on offense. And since no one has refuted me, my theory is that his chronic injury started in the UAAP. Probably from all that "defense" fron the heralded Parks stopper but more recently Pidos goto negative clutch guy ( someone you play to definitely lose a winnable game) Kevin Ferrer.

If he will not return after this season, he needs to sit 3 more years for a total of 5 yrs.

Malonzo's handles is iffy. That is why I consider him as a combo forward & not a natural wing guy.

Lol at Slaughter being petty. He knows this is the time he is needed but unfortunately dinamdam yung mga snub before sa kanya dahil din naman sa PBA. Big guy with an emotional and brittle feelings. I really hoped they can be reinforced by Kai and Erram plus Mikey being our naturalize player. Chiu is somehow serviceable na kahit papano but we need at least 2 capable bigs to aid him and Tamayo if we want to be at least competitive in the Asia cup
