@mathematician

I won't consider Heading a PG or a combo guard unless I see him playing that rule in FIBA game & do a decent job with such rule.

If Kouame, Nenad (head coach)and Kai are part of Gilas in Asia cup it's not unfeasible for them to win Gold

The problem with this, is if a coach sees it is realistic,
he woild want to be the head coach LOL

John Paxson, BJ Armstrong, and Steve Kerr weren't playmaking PGs on the Bulls. However, they had decent playmakers in the other positions, like Scottie Pippen, Toni Kukoč, and even Michael Jordan.

For Heading to be a PG, we need a playmaker at at least one of the other positions.

Having 6'4"-6'7" wings in the U16 is a start. I hope we can develop more 6'4"-6'7" wings like Caelum and Konov.

On that note, I think Konov might be a better defender than Caelum. Looks tougher, e.

Do we have the personell though? As of now. These are our best non pba gilas Players (imo)
(Will exclude parks for now)

1. NP - Nba (or Former Nba) level Player (Seems like they are targeting some names )

2. Kai Sotto - NBL Australia Level Player

3. AJ Edu - US NCAA Div 1 level player

4. Dwight Ramos - B league level

5. Baltazar - B league level

6. Tamayo - B league level

7. Thirdy - B league level player

Then maybe the other 8 in a 15 man pool in WC will be from pba. Lol.

(Oh, IDK where to put Kiefer. Pba or Non Pba next year)

I like Heading. But I am not sure He will be selected for Gials over some pba plauers. Lol

Ang discriminatory natin kay heading he is a decent pg as if doing fancy passes and good looking pick and roll passes contributes t being a point guard masyadong nba mentality pa rin tingin natin on that position..as long as he is able to made good decision as being the smallest guy on the floor and ability to bring down the ball he is a already a 1..

Yeah, that's very true with an attention-hungry person like Choke Reyes.

Specially now that it is reported that Kai would play in the Asia Cup, you bet Choke would be more determined than ever to coach Gilas in that tournament.

Perkins was annoying in the draft , kept on saying I told you draft wings , wings , wings LoL

Well, tall, long, athletic, and/or versatile wings are more valuable now in the NBA, top commodity.

Gilas should be looking to have the same mindset.

How did the Bulls do in draft?
Spurs exceeded my expectations

I said it in the 2022 NBA Draft thread, here:

Well, the Bulls got 6'7" Dalen Terry. Good defender, does everything well but score, and has good physical tools, most notably a 7-foot wingspan.

He's going to a loaded guard rotation, though, so he might see time at 3. Having Lonzo, Zach, Caruso, Ayo, and Coby will see him have to challenge for playing time.

AKME taking talent and upside over need, again.

Draft grades for the Bulls are all over the place. From A-range to D. The C and D marks are for his fit questions for the Bulls. Terry's a guard, and he'll have a tough time breaking through the rotation. He's a project. Talent and potential pick.

The Bulls have good defensive players. Lonzo, Caruso, Ayo, and potentially Patrick Williams and Terry. Want to stack up on as many versatile defenders as possible.

IQ and court vision wise, imo RJ Abarrientos, Kiefer and Panopio might be our best options at point in that order. RJ is the best skills wise, if only he wasn't so small and a complete defensive liability, he could be the main pg but he's really too small. Imagine if we have a 6'5 guy with RJ/Kiefer's court vision, ballhandling and shot creating, that's an NBA material, projected tall players from u16 level should be trained that way. We just need to transfer RJ/Kiefer's personality traits, psychology in the game into the body of a Dwight Ramos or Lebron Lopez lol.

If only RJ is 2 inches taller

6'2-6'3 with Abando's wingspan would be good. Could be a discount Ja Morant type player.

perhaps 1 year under tab is enough to develop oftana and abando into bigger point guards for international tournaments to match up better against international teams.

Oftana is already too old and playing in the PBA as a dagger for that dream. Abando and Dave Ildefonso maybe, these are players with good ceiling and good import potential.

Gilas should be a team of Filipino imports just like most successful FIBA teams, put in 1-2 PBA players and see if they can hang but I highly doubt they could. This is what draws the line between success and doom, for example NBL players can hang with their NBA players, PBA players clearly couldn't with Clarkson besides the ineligibles like Pringle, Euroleague players can hang with NBA talent etc. We need a stronger import culture, definitely more potential Euroleague and NBL level talents after a step up to B League and KBL from the PBA.

Just dreaming but imagine a youth trio of Harris, Konov and Lopez in Gilas seniors under Tab for long term development(4+ years). If they could get Dwight and Baltazar's level of developments without disruptions and good guidance we could have potential EuroLeague level talents.

People here are high on Konov ,Caelum and Lebron lopez because they are skilled enough and has physical tools, yes we see. skillfull but hefty, undersized or toobig players but they are very equipped to the modern game ika nga
