Philippines Senior National Team Thread Vol. V

  • Thread starter Thread starter IPC2

Double the oligarchy, double the incompetence. The Philippines will never change, it’s clear none of this is for national pride, not really even for profit because they should all know a shit performance will dig the nail deeper into their paliga’s grave but ego of the bourgeoisie. I honestly hope a PBA assembled lineup will get annihilated by an average of 40 points in the WC, that’s the only way to shake things up, if the embarrassment that is the lost to Indonesia and the 2017 trashing by Korea, the 2019 World Cup and Aussie brawls aren’t enough to make you change then just let the fire grow larger until it all burns to the ground.

Bro, how about another disastrous campaign in the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup (much worse than the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup campaign of Gilas under Choke Reyes)? How about Gilas not even making it to the quarterfinals para sibak na kaagad ang pesting si Chot Reyes?

here's Chot's statement regarding Cone's inclusion to the coaching staff:

“I’m here to form the best team possible, not only the players but also the coaching staff,” said Reyes. “When we prepared the team in 2013 for the World Cup in 2014, we got Tab Baldwin, we got Nacho Lezcano, Norman Black, we had a very strong staff then. I think that was one of the secrets for our great performance in the World Cup. I’m doing the same here.”, “We had Nenad on staff, and now Tim Cone. Goldwin is already on the staff together with coach Jong Uichico, coach Josh Reyes. We have a pretty solid staff,” said Reyes.

He needs Nenad, Tim, Jong and Goldwin to save his @$$ off. I think both Nenad and Tim will be in his coaching staff next year.

Do you guys think we'll get another lack of quality comment from a foreign coach this coming FIBA CUP hehehe. Just by watching a PBA game anybody can realized that we really lack quality lmao!

I think Oftana should be one of the players called up. This NLEX game, as well as his fine start to the PBA season, strengthens his case to be part of future Gilas lineups. He's evolving into a point-of-attack defender, and he really bothered LA and Pinto with his size and length. He could stay in front of both guards too.

most likely, especially from those euro coaches who are frank. And expect also that the entire SBP and BCAP will over react!

Severe lack of quality, from the coaching (especially head coach) to the players, if ever. That was the case in 2019. I hope that won't be the case this coming FIBA Asia Cup.

I love that lack of quality comment so much, the only ones who got offended over that are the baby bosses with baby egos who thinks their league is worth more shit than it actually is. That Serbian coach was right, what’s the point of competing when that’s the kind of garbage you’re gonna send, it doesn’t benefit anyone, even your players will get bashed when they have nothing to do with it, it’s actually your politics that logically led to that kind of performance. The pinoy netizens who got offended on behalf of the oligarchs over that comment are also complete retards for lack of a better word.

Trollano, Japeth should be invited also. Tenorio size players should be excluded in the pool! The fact that player is still consider a star PG in PBA only proves how low level of play we have in our league.

call me dumb or naive but i kinda want to see how cone would fare nowadays with the NT provided he has ample preparation time.

of course i'd still prefer nenad/tab but amongst "locals", i'd be interested to see how cone would fare.
